Episode Recap

Skye is at Jeff's apartment showering after the events of the previous night. She hears someone whistling in the bathroom and looks out... and sees Billy advancing on her with a knife. When Skye hesitates, Billy disappears and she dismisses it as a residual effect from the hallucinogen. She then goes out and apologize to Jeff for kissing him, but he tells her that it's okay since it was caused by the drug that Lexi slipped her. As Jeff brings up the episode where the rug was used to look for clues, Skye feels someone touching the back of her head. She spins around but there's no one there, but then she turns back and sees Billy preparing to stab Jeff. Skye and gasps, and collapses to the floor as Jeff goes to her.

-----

Skye looks up and sees Billy kneeling next to her. She backs away startled, and realizes that she's at the compound. Skye grabs a pitchfork to hold Billy off, but he assures her that they're all friends. The pitchfork disappears and Skye runs through a nearby barn and out the other side... only to discover that she's back where she started. Billy grabs her and suggests that she stay, and Skye realizes that she can feel him touching her. When she tries to pull away, Billy tells her that she can't leave.

-----

When the EMTs get Skye to the hospital, Dr. McClellan examines her and informs Jeff that her brain is overloading due to a drug. Jeff explains about how someone slipped Skye a hallucinogen at the party and he no idea what drug it is or who else took it. McClellan tells him that Skye is the only reported case and that she may be having a reaction to some cutting agent in the drug. Most agents need to be kept cold, and Skye's body temperature would have destroyed any traces of it in her system. Without the traces to analyze, all they can do is stabilize her condition, but McClellan warns Jeff that without a sample of the drug, there's nothing they can do.

Jeff calls Lexi at the studio and tells her what happened, and the makeup artist admits that she only had a couple of tabs. She doesn't have any way to get hold of Dustin, the man who gave her the drugs. As they talk, a woman goes into Skye's room and Jeff takes notices of her. He tells Lexi that she's done enough already and hangs up, and then goes into the room. The woman is Ginny Yarrow, Skye's mother, and he explains what happened. Ginny considers blaming Jeff, pointing out that he was there with Skye at the party, and then realizes that he's just as obsessed with Cult as Skye is. She tells Jeff to get out, but he refuses to abandon his friend.

-----

Skye runs away from the compound only to discover that the road goes on forever. Billy calls out to her, telling her that she's not going anywhere, and appears on the road. When Skye runs off across a field, Billy appears in front of her and tells her that she should leave the past behind and embrace the present. Skye refuses to abandon the present and insists on finding her father, even though he's dead.

-----

Jeff calls E.J., who has stepped out of the newspaper office and is trying to track down Dustin on her laptop. She sees Bert coming and hangs up, but he's well aware that she's in contact with Jeff.

Sakelik comes to the hospital and tells that Skye's name is in their system and was flagged when she was admitted to the hospital for a drug overdose. Jeff tells her that Skye has nothing to do with what's between them, but Sakelik simply asks if Jeff saw the video she gave him. He says that he did and Sakelik warns him that Nate is the only thing keeping Jeff safe. Jeff tells Sakelik that he saw her take the drug from Dustin and that they need a sample to save Skye, and begs her to help. She refuses, saying that she can't involve herself, and advises Jeff to walk away.

-----

As he takes her back to the compound, Billy advises Skye to let go of what she can't control. Kelly steps out, gun aimed at Billy, and tells him to surrender. He draws his knife but then tosses it on the ground and tells Kelly that he's no threat. Skye echoes his words as Billy walks toward Kelly, warning her that her obsession with finding her sister is consuming her. When she tells him to stop, Billy says that he's not the one who needs to stop. Kelly finally relents and gives him her gun, and they embrace. Skye wonders why Kelly would turn to her tormentor and the agent tells her that the time comes when it's best to give in. Billy, smiling, invites Skye to stay with them forever.

-----

Ginny angrily ignores Jeff, who paces the room until McClellan comes back. He explains that the drug is causing accelerated activity in Skye's brain and will cause permanent damage unless they find a cure. Until they have a sample of the drug, all they can do is slow the damage's progression. Ginny insists that they have to do something for her daughter and Jeff, getting an idea, tells her that they will.

A little later, Jeff arrives at Fandomain to meet with E.J. However, he discovers that Bert is waiting for him. The editor is ready to fire Jeff for failing his job, but Jeff tells Bert that he needs E.J.'s help.

-----

Kelly takes Skye to a room with a crystal mobile in the window, reflecting the sunlight. As Skye stares at it, Kelly tells her to listen to what Billy is saying. Sky still can't believe that Kelly forgave the cult leader for abducting Kelly's sister and killing her brother-in-law, but Kelly says that she's put the past behind her. The agent asks Skye when she last felt free, and Skye says that it was the day before her father disappeared. Looking out the window, Skye sees a man standing in front of the sun and asks Kelly if it's Steven Rae. Kelly tells her not to be scared, and Kelly goes outside to confront the man... only to discover that it's her father, Quentin. She insists that he isn't real, but Quentin strokes her cheek and reminds her that the last time they talked before his disappearance, she was mad at him because he wouldn't let her go out with her friends. He describes how Skye refused to give him a hug before she stormed out, and Skye, crying, hugs him.

-----

Jeff explains to Bert that he was going to have Skye find Sakelik's home address because she's the only one who could have the sample they need to save Skye's life. The editor offers to find the address himself rather than put E.J. at risk, but insists on going with Jeff.

Ginny sits anxiously next to her unconscious daughter.

-----

Quentin brushes Skye's hair and asks how she's getting along with Ginny. Skye angrily tells him that Ginny has given up on her husband, but Quentin tells her that she's moved on after his disappearance, rather than give up. Skye wonders if she's chasing a ghost but Quentin simply tells her that she can stay at the compound and find peace. She refuses to stop looking for him and her father warns her that he did the same thing: pushing until it destroyed his family. Quentin begs Skye to stop pushing and give up.

-----

Skye stops breathings and the nurses rush in to resuscitate her.

As they drive to Sakelik's house, Bert wonders what Jeff has going with Skye. The reporter explains that Skye is a friend and the only thing that has kept him going through all the insanity he's encountered trying to find Nate. They drive by Sakelik's house and see her working in the front yard. Bert drives around the back and parks, and Jeff immediately gets out and climbs over the fence. He sneaks into the house and looks for the refrigerated drug, and Bert approaches Sakelik out front and tries to keep her distracted. She finally comes in just as Jeff locates the drug in the freezer. He gets out the back just in time, but Sakelik notices the open freezer door and the back patio door that is slightly ajar.

Jeff gets back to the hospital and gives the drug tabs to McClellan to analyze. As he leaves, Ginny explains what happened earlier and Jeff takes Skye's hand and assures her that he's not giving up on her.

-----

Skye and the other members of The Blood are eating dinner, and she's surprised to see Jeff sitting next to her, smiling. He disappears and Quentin, seated on her other side, asks Skye if everything is all; right. She insists that something is wrong and still wants to know how he disappeared, but Quentin says that she can stay with him forever. Skye realizes that her hands are nailed to the table, but Billy denies doing anything. As she realizes that her father is responsible, Quentin tells her not to fight it as everyone at the table becomes Billy.

-----

McClellan synthe a counteragent after analyzing the sample and administers it to Skye. He then warns Ginny and Jeff that the rest is up to her.

-----

Skye finds herself in the middle of a field in a storm. Her hands are still nailed to the table, and Billy asks her why she's still fight. She tells him that everything she's seeing is a part of her, the part that wants to stop looking for Quentin. When Skye says that neither she nor Kelly want to give up and move on, Kelly appears and Skye tells the agent that she would never have given up on her sister. Quentin appears, telling Skye not to fight, but Skye tells him that he's not her father. Billy warns her that she's just delaying the inevitable and advises her to give up.

-----

Jeff whispers to Skye, telling her to keep fighting.

-----

Concentrating, Skye makes the table disappear, freeing her hands. Billy embraces her and says that he's thankful that she's made her choice. Skye stabs him in the stomach with his own knife and tells him that she has things to do... and she's not alone.

-----

Skye wakes up to see Jeff and Ginny at her side. They welcome her back and Jeff goes to get Ginny some coffee. Skye tells her mother that she should have hugged Quentin ten years ago before walking out the door, and Ginny assures her daughter that Quentin knew that she loved her. However, when Skye insists on pursuing her investigation, Ginny warns her that she may not like the answers she gets. And even if she does get answers, nothing will make up for the ten years that Skye lost looking for Quentin. Skye tells her that she'll continue searching and Ginny says that she understands, even if she doesn't agree with her.

When Jeff comes back, Ginny tells her daughter that she loves her and gives the two of them some time alone. Skye thanks Jeff for saving her, but before he can respond, a nurse brings in a bouquet of flowers. The card is unsigned and offers its condolences about Bert. Jeff gets a call from E.J. and he runs down to the ER Bert, shot in chest, is being brought in. E.J. arrives and tells Jeff that someone apparently broke into Bert's home and shot him. However, Sakelik pulls up outside the ER, calls Jeff on his cell phone, and reminds him that she warned him to walk away. Jeff demands to know what she did, but Sakelik simply says that he's the one responsible and drives away.
