Hands down the funniest of all time....I never thought anything could top Seinfeld, but this does. When you can watch a show over and over, know what lines are coming, and still laugh your @ss off, then it is in a class by itself. Larry's facial expressions just never get old............I love showing it to people that have never seen or heard of it before, they all get hooked after one episode.

Honorable mention to Seinfeld and Da Ali G show. If i had to pick a recent show on regular TV, Two and a Half Men  is the best one I've seen, the rest are garbage.......Charlie Sheen and the little kid are pretty freakin funny.

someone only recently introduced me to this. i can't believe I haven't seen any of it before. i watched the no lock on the toilet door episode.

Can anyone recommend a list of the best five eps to watch - or is it a case, like scrubs and the office where you're best off watching a series from start to finish in order?

Well, this show is more like, "You have to watch a whole season from beginning to end" because within a given season, the stories tend to flow into eachother.  I would recommend season two, three, or four...from start to finish.  They are 10 eps each (except season 4 has an hour-long ending).

Nothing will ever top Arrested Development, but I think CYE comes as close as any other show will. Seinfeld is a very close third followed by MASH (early years).

I noticed no one mentioned It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia or Friends. I've never seen the former but don't care for the later.

One of the funniest. But not the funniest. Fresh prince, just shoot me & two and half men come first on the list for me.
