According to user hulehvalley over at the IMDb message boards, Jeff Garlin was on Dennis Miller's radio show on February 22nd, and he said that Larry is writing season 8 currently.
Here's another, this time official, source talking about Jeff Garlin and his comments about an eighth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. He says that there is a 61% chance it will return:
Here is an article from TV Squad who has confirmed that Larry is working on Season 8, although nothing is definite. The Hollywood Reporter has an excellent in-depth look at the PaleyFest panel discussion, but it won't let me post the link or URL, so go and check it out under the title Larry David hints at more 'Enthusiasm'
Last night, I saw Susie Essman perform. At the end of the show, she did a Q&A and someone asked about Curb Season 8. She replied that it hasn't been officially announced by HBO yet, but that they are filming over the summer!
So I guess you could say that Season 8 is definite!

This season has been AWESOME. I was a little iffy about future Curb, even with the Seinfeld stuff, last season because I felt like it missed a bit of a spark...but this season? Love it and Larrys neuroticism that always ends up getting the best of him. The episode with the Palestinian chicken or whatever it was cracked me up SO much. Cant wait to see him in NY to bring a different dynamic to things.

this season wasnt bad but ive seen better..chick you are correct in your assesment of palestine chicken in that it was the best show of the season..his excuses to do something are getting lame..his excuses from "the special section" season 3 were his best..for instance when his mom died he had a great excuse not to do a stop and chat , and not having to go to a bat mitzah..tell sara "mazeltov" was a very funny line for this episode which by the way is the best episode of curb..stealing richards mantra and giving the grave digger phoney money that he forgot was in his pocket after filming a movie scene..when the cops arrived to arrest larry for using phoney money he was screaming the mantra and telling the cops my mother just died thinking this excuse might work..now he has to leave the city to get away from doing any kind of appearance that he wants to avoid..that's what led him to NY and at end of s8 led him to France..its great having all the money in the world to be able to do things larry pulls off
