Unlike future seasons of Curb, Season 2 didn't have quite a unifying plotline.. however, the plot of this season, despite being subtle, paid off well in the end. All of the networks that Larry visited over Season 2 end up converging into one incredible payoff.
It all starts when Larry refuses to do a "stop and greet" with someone who works at Jeff's hotel. Something as minor as this ends up being the catalyst for the rest of the episode. This, mixed with a psychic that Cheryl goes to see, along with a limo driver who garners Larry's sympathy and a massage that ends in quite the surprise ends up culminating in, at least in my eyes, what is one of the most classic ending scenes of all the episodes.
It seemed almost as if the entire season was building up towards this moment, where something as small as a stolen fork can get Larry screwed over. Larry David can be thanked for that; his writing is pitch perfect, even in the less than stellar episodes. He always finds a way to connect everything, and this is just giving an idea of how good he'll eventually become at it.moreless

A masseuse's offer catches Larry off-guard, and Cheryl's visit to a psychic leaves him worried she'll find out just what the offer was. Later, a refusal to "stop-and-chat" ends up forcing Larry into an embarrassing situation.
