Larry is labeled a misogynist after an unfortunate choice of words at a poker game. When he later believes an HBO executive took some shrimp from his meal following a mistake in order of Chinese food, the situations collide, and worsen.moreless
  • Classic curb episode, Larry at his worst.

    "Perfect"
This was the first episode of Curb I ever saw and it immediately got me hooked, the series of social fau paxs that Larry commits in this episode all culminate in the end in an extremely well written way. That scene at the poker table where Larry calls the 'effeminant heterosexual' a C word is one of my all time favourite scenes from any TV show. Whether he is caught beating his wife, accusing a possible employer of stealing his shrimp, or alienating new friends Larry does it all in this episode. "You had an ace high, that's a great hand for this game..."moreless
  • Larry can't sell the show to HBO, he gets his shrimp stolen, forces an effeminate heterosexual to take a leave of absence, is accused of wife beating. Basically a cornucopia of Curb fun.moreless

    "Superb"
I think the scene where they are playing cards is one of the best in series. It is classic Larry David. In the history of television the C word has never been used so effectively.

When Jeff later tells Larry the guy took a leave of absence as a result of the comment, the genius of it all hits home.

"Oh You C_nt, You C_nt, How could you not call with that?"

So many good scenes in this one.

"Go take your 370 million and go buy your own shrimpboat"

    Can't say enough good things.
