Curious George Season 3 Episode 11
The Man With the Monkey Hands; Whistlepig Wednesday
This episode had two different stories. The Man in the Yellow Hat falls into poison ivy, making his hands swollen and itchy. He has his hands bandaged, but he can't do most tasks, so Curious George tries to "help" him by making various machines to do the jobs. In the second segment, a neighbor follows a local tradition very similar to Groundhog's Day to find out when winter will come. At the end, a child retells the episode, summarizing and explaining the ideas in a way very young children can understand.
