Digit arrives in a cybersite with fun and games named R-Fair City, ready to look for Madame N. Cognita, who invited him vacation there. Only after she uses a crooked fairway game named "4 Zirgins in a hat" to trick him into a cage Digit realizes she is Hacker in Disguise. When the kids arrive at R-Fair City, having been sent to rescue him, know only that Digit is in danger, and that Motherboard has said something about unfair games. When a coin toss wins them a free ride from a R-Fair City cab driver named Lucky, they take advantage of the opportunity to explore the city with a local. Lucky teaches then how to recognize a fair game, one in which everyone's chances of winning are the same, and leads them from site to site to test the games out. She explains that a rumor has been circulating that there are unfair games in R-Fair City, and that as a result, fewer and fewer people have been coming to play games. The kids think about why someone would want to make people doubt R-Fair City's games, and decide the resulting chaos sounds like something Hacker would orchestrate. Meanwhile, Buzz and Dlete have spotted the kids and Lucky and Hacker has decided to snare them as he did to Digit. When Madame N. invites the kids to play "4 Zirgins in a hat", Lucky admits she never played "4 Zirgins in a hat". Matt decides someone has to try it. After he disappears into a vat of green goop, Jackie and Inez examine the game more and realize that if they play, they'll have only 1 chance of winning. Having found an unfair game, they are sure they've found Hacker. They determine to stall until Lucky can find Matt and Digit. Unfortunately, Hacker is too impatient and they realize they'll have to play the game. But they are able to turn the odds around and trap him into losing. As he falls through into his own underground cage, Lucky, Matt, and Digit find the girls and together, they all flee.
They trick Hacker into playing R-Fair City's most popular game, Pure Xhance. One door leads to a day of free games, but the door Hacker chooses catapults him into Cyberspace with Buzz and Delete. Digit and the kids promise Lucky they'll come back sometime, just for fun.
