While in Matt's attic, Motherboard calls the Cybersquad in, saying that Sleight O'Hand, Dr. Marbles's nephew and the most famous pickpocket in all of Cyberspace, has been framed for theft of Hacker's Recharger Key. Upon arrival, the Chief of Poddleville immediately fills them in on all the details: Hacker had decided to make peace with Poddleville and gave them a statue of their Mayor as a gift. He then threw a huge party for everyone in the cybersite, hiring Sleight and his pet dog, Presto, to perform for them. The Chief then tells them that after the party, Hacker had found that his Recharger Key was missing, and that the front door--which had a metal detector--had never gone off, even though everyone had left. He then informs them that the back door did not have a metal detector, and that Sleight had left through the back door later that evening. He then finally concludes by showing them the front page photograph of the newspaper--which shows the top view of a triangular figure leaving through the back door. He says that Sleight is shaped like a triangle, thus he must be the key culprit. The kids disagree, however, saying that a lot of people in Poddleville are shaped like triangles and that there has to be another way to solve as to whether Sleight was the culprit or not.
The kids finally come upon a solution--points of view, as in how a three-dimensional object looks from different standpoints. The kids investigate by looking over collected evidence, but the more they look into it, the more suspicious Sleight becomes.
After a lot of searching, the kids finally decide that the only way to find out for sure if Sleight was the culprit or not is to recreate the crime scene--only this time get a top view of the situation. When the scene is recreated, sure enough Sleight appears the same as the evidence, but when Inez--currently up in a blimp--gets a top view, she realizes that Sleight isn't guilty after all.
Meanwhile, Presto--who was under custody of Hacker and was supposed to be disposed of--arrives on the scene and runs up next to Sleight, giving Inez a top view of him, too. It finally falls together for her, and Hacker is proven to be a liar after all and is escorted out of Poddleville.
Later on, Inez explains Hacker's scheme to frame Sleight and to steal Poddleville's power (using the "gift" statue) so that he could take over the site. He had lured Presto out the back door, and, due to the fact that Sleight and Presto looked almost exactly alike as him in dim light--save for the top view--he thought that he could get away with it. However, because of the newspaper photograph it was just enough to prove him wrong.
