I was at the New York Anime Festival last weekend, and I got to talk to some of the people at Funimation, and I found out the following:

-An official cast has been set as of last week, and they have begun working on it.

-The cast will be officially announced on a later date, and these Funimation guys apparently did not even know who the cast is.

-In a few months (apparently two to three), we will find out the official release date of the Anime DVDs.

-They are currently planning on D.Gray-man to sell in box sets of 13 episodes each.

I can't wait to find out who the voice actors are going to be. I have a feeling that Allen's going to be voiced be Victor Mignogna (the voice actor of Edward Elric in FMA). Whenever I read the manga, I always imagine Allen with the same voice as Edward Elric.

Shouldn't Allen be voiced by someone who can do a younger voice? (Ed's English dub voice seems older than the Japanese counterpart in my opinion, not that it's a good or bad thing, but just saying)

I would really love it if Vic played Allen. Vic was decent at making himself sound younger in the flashback sequences of FMA. He just needs to adjust his voice in a different way for Allen. Apparently, one of the Funimation sales people also agreed that Vic would be a good choice as well, but of course he did not know the cast either.

They have the official release date now! It's March 31st.

They also have a trailer for the dub in Funimation's video portal. It sounds like the voice in the trailer might be Hevlaska's voice.

The box sets better have nore than just 13 episodes cuz they release every like 6 monthes I dont think I could wait that long...Hey tho it comes out 3 days after my birthday! YAY! I am so happy that funimation is doing D gray because of the FANTASTICAL voice actors there. Im so happy and I cannot wait!
