At hollywoodnorthreport.com they say that the series gets axed cause viewers are not into it. Other CBC series getting axed are This Is Wonderland and The Tournament

My local newspaper The Vancouver Province pretty much stated that CBC were the ones "not into it". That creator Chris Haddock had a hard time getting this season made. However the article also mentioned that CBC has given Haddock a greenlight to make a TV movie, that will ultimately wrap things up. No word on when, but possibly this year.

That's too bad on two counts. Just last week I watched my first ever episode of 'This Is Wonderland', and it was absolutely hilarious. I have no idea if the whole series is that good, but that episode was wonderful.

I'm glad they're going to finish off the series though. So often when things get canned, they never finish them. This way at least viewers will get to see all the episodes.

I re-read the article, it does say the TV movie tentative release date:

Haddock also reported that the network has agreed to a "Da Vinci's" movie that would likely appear sometime this fall.

Plus it also says: "City Hall" still managed about 500, 000 viewers weekly.

Was confirmed today - Feb 14. All 3 shows cancelled.

Too bad - City Hall had many great plots and I will miss it.

Chris H must be tired of getting his shows cancelled...
