    • QUOTES (2)

      • Wilson: We ought to make quite sure he really is a Nazi before we hand him to the authorities.
Mainwaring: Yes, there is only one thing to do. We must grill him.
Jones: Over a slow fire. That'd make him talk, sir. We did that in the Sudan.

      • Walker: Oh, my God, it's a parachute!
        Pike: Shall I fire?
Jones: No, remember what the captain said. We've got to wait to see if he exposes himself.

    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Captain Mainwaring: What would Mrs Mopp say?
Captain Winogrodzki: She would say, "Can I do you now, sir?"

Mrs Mopp was a character from the wartime radio comedy "It's That Man Again" (ITMA) starring Tommy Handley. The show created many catchphrases, one of which was this remark that the charlady would utter.
