Daily Burn

Show Summary

Daily Burn was a dance and music show that was broadcast on the cable television station MTV. It originally aired from June 1, 1998 to August 1, 1998. Michael Bergin and Tsianina Joelson were the hosts and the DJ was DJ Skribble. The show featured a regular cast of performers dancing to recorded music. The hosts linked each dance segment with short descriptions of the performers and music. This show primarily featured popular rap and hip-hop music with some dance hits. A number of exercise segments based on this show have also been released. Daily Burn was a replacement for The Grind, but it had a sleeker and more energetic format intended to boost the sagging ratings of the Grind. MTV lost its filming studio when it moved to its present location at 1515 Broadway in New York City. Daily Burn was taped outside at various locations on the New Jersey Shores, and taping was often disrupted due to inclement weather.
