Very sad news. A legendary character, both as J.R. and in real life. He will be sorely missed.

I hope the show will be able to honor J.R. appropriately, what with so many of the cast at their disposal. The funeral of J.R. Ewing would be quite something to witness, but I do not dare to speculate about the future of the show beyond it.

Indeed a television monument has left us. RIP Larry :-( Your last work on dallas was absolutely top. Respectfully, one can almost say you died on stage playing your greatest role.

And RIP J.R. Ewing. I must admit I look forward to see how they will send this great caracter off. I'm confident it will be emotional and full of intrigue. A funeral the likes we haven't seen for a while on television.

I know Larry Hagman would want the show to go on. RIP

I was shocked and devastated that this lovely and classy guy is no longer with us. He loved his job and I am sure he wants it to go on for more and more seasons. Looking forward to the tribute episode they just shot.
