Bobby: What are you doing here? Where's April?
Sheila: She's fine. I'm just taking her place for a while. And as long as you do exactly as you're told, she'll stay fine. But one wrong move and she's dead.
This is the only season where Southfork doesn't appear in the first episode.
Duke Carlisle gets added to the list of characters on Dallas played by more then one actor (Claude Earl Jones and Clifton James)
Kimberly Foster (Michelle), Howard Keel (Clayton), George Kennedy (Carter), Ken Kercheval (Cliff), and Barbara Stock (Liz) do not appear in this episode.
Barbara Stock ("Liz") is added to the opening credits.
The episode title refers to the song, "April in Paris" composed by Vernon Duke with lyrics by E. Y. Harburg in 1932, which has been performed by many artists throughout the years, the most famous of which was Count Basie's 1955 recording.
When they arrive in Paris, Bobby tells April that she's going to think that Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant are going to be around every corner. This is a reference to the 1963 film, Charade.
