  • Is this Dallas?

Surprises galore in this episode of a series that usually followed the beaten path. It makes you wonder whether someone has suddenly decided to changed the format. And yet, it was written by Leonard Katzman, the man who produced most of the series. But what do we get here?

JR, still suffering from his Arkansas adventure, calls in the help of a psychiatrist? At least it leads up to the best joke of the episode, JR vowing to no longer being Mr Nice Guy. Bobby, on the other hand, finds himself in a James Bond film. As the active part of a complicated plot to get McKay he sneaks onto the McKay ranch, and takes out a few henchmen. When you see Patrick Duffy, all dressed in black, pointing a gun at some hoodlums, you realise he could have been a decent James Bond. (Though Bond will never be played by an American.

The most surprising element of the show is George Kennedy's portrayal of Carter McKay, a character that keeps confounding the viewer. But let's not forget that Kennedy is an Academy Award winner.
