    Clayton hammered Shulton but he did not murder him. The evidence is against Clayton, he had motive, means and opportunity. Despite this, I suspect Laurel’s former British lover killed Shulton. This plot has been in development all season and continues to provide some memorable moments, thanks to Bel Geddes fine portrayal of Miss Ellie.
