    The Ewing family discovered Cliff Barnes is one of their shareholders. Over the past year Cliff has become a major interest for the show writers. He is an idiot in my view(despite a being trained lawyer), his personal and business life is a mess. He relies more on luck than any intellect compare to JR and Bobby. They confront crisis with brains unlike Barnes whose luck always saves him. Jamie didn't file for divorce. And having a wealthy mum

    What are we to make of the cliff-hanger? Are the writers grasping at straws for plots or has this been plan all along. I fear the former. The final quarter of this season seems haphazard compare to earlier of plots such as Jock alive and Calhourn returning to Dallas.
