Wendell appears once in this episode, at midpoint. His actions contributed to the last moments of the show.

I thought, the themes song would play when Miss Ellie heard that the Justice Department is to investigate Ewing Oil. Wait there was more, Clayton seeing his wife crying, rushes out to comfort JR. JR always fearful of physical violence runs away. The result is Clayton falls down the stairs, and is not breathing.

Every second of this final scene is great television. The Ewing family are in downhill mode. Despite Miss Ellie's love for her son, how will she forgive him this time? JR's professional life caused this personal tragedy to unfold. JR is beginning to loose control of his company and now he will loose the support of his family.

For weeks we been told, Mandy Winger is sexy, beautiful and every man's ideal woman. Many Winger certainly live up to that reputation when she posed upon a boat.

A final thought, where will JR raise the money to purchase stock in Ewing Oil? All his assets are tried up in Ewing Oil.
