Why would Bobby be driving to Odessa, TX? He could have taken the Ewing jet or the Ewing helicopter or even the Southfork helicopter. All of these would be faster then driving, and he says he is in a hurry.
When Liz asks Bobby if Cliff has any family he might be staying with Bobby says he has none, forgetting about Cliff's Aunt Maggie and his cousin Jimmy Monahan?
J.R.: We're talking about Daddy's company. Bobby: J.R., I just buried my wife because of the oil business. I think it's time I buried Daddy too. J.R.: You don't know what you're talking about, Bob! Bobby: I'm driving to Odessa tonight. When I get back, I am selling Ewing Oil! J.R.: Bobby! BOBBY!
(Clayton has given Carter his voting rights) J.R.: You what? You just gave him the right away to destroy Ewing Oil. Clayton: He's not going to touch Ewing Oil J.R.: How the hell do you know that? Clayton: We have an agreement. J.R.: You are as dumb as you are big. Clayton: J.R., not in front of the boys! J.R.: Well, I think that they are entitled to know what kind of a traitor their grandmother married.
John Ross: Clayton's leaving to see Grandma tomorrow. J.R.: Oh, wonderful. Clayton: Any message you want me to give her? J.R.: Yeah. Tell her I wish she was still single.
