Patty Hewes and Ray Fiske meet up in the judge's office to discuss the details of the Frobisher case, which according to the judge isn't looking favorable for Patty's camp. He gave her a week as deadline for submitting the brief stating the reasons why he shouldn't throw out the case.
Patty goes back to the office and orders her people to rush the completion of the brief but before any work gets done, the building is evacuated due to a boxed grenade she receives on her desk. She later tells the Feds that anyone could've sent that grenade since she has made several enemies through her years of law practice.

Patty and Phil appear before the Headmaster of the school where Patty's son Michael is attending. He has been displaying unsatisfactory behavior, which he attributes to the dream he's been having about seeing seven other Michaels coming out of limousines. In the dream, the seven body doubles are hired by him to prevent his assassination. Later, it turns out that this dream is Patty's and not Michael's.
Back at Hewes & Associates, several of Patty's employees take a day-off after being scared of the threat to Patty's life even as they have a deadline to meet. Patty instantly fires them and challenges anyone else who would like to call in sick and lose their job.
Ellen approaches Patty about the engagement party that she has the same day the brief is due, but assures Patty that she'll be done with the brief well in advance. As soon as Ellen finishes the brief, Patty hands it to Tom for him to review and revise, if need be.

Patty meets up with Tom, who gives the brief back to Patty telling her it's perfect. Patty then assigns Ellen to personally hand the brief to the judge, which later keeps her waiting and forcing her to be late for her engagement party.
At the same time, Patty has dinner with her son and confronts him about his personal issues. They get into an argument and as Michael walks out of the restaurant, a black van pulls up and goons kidnap him. Patty then signs some forms to enroll Michael at the Claremont Reform Academy, where he will be staying to be reformed.
