    DirecTV will team with Sony Pictures Television to keep the series alive for at least 2 more seasons, translating to 20 episodes. However, unlike the Friday Night Lights deal, Damages will run exclusively on DirecTV. In addition, DirecTV has acquired the rights to air repeats of Seasons 1 through 3.

    The show's budget will remain unchanged. The only difference is the next 2 seasons will be 10 episodes apiece (instead of 13), and the absence of commercials means producers have an extra 15 or so minutes to play around with each week.

    I was following the comments on other boards and there is a ton of complaining that only people with DirecTV will be able to watch the show.

    I'm happy so long as Damages continues to produce more episodes - I'll gladly wait for the DVD releases!

    I don't understand all the complaints. We are getting more Damages! Who cares what network it is on? Ever heard of DVD?

    The thing is that Direct TV is not a network like ABC or CBS, it is company like Dish Network or a cable company. Anyone not subscribed to Direct TV will not be able to watch it. I will buy the DVD if it comes out but in the mean time I am watching it in the Internet and it as good as ever.

    so is the current season going to be 10 or 13 episodes. This week (aug 9) was episode 5
