the plot and characters deepen.tottally unexpected turns and more twists.i luv the clever way even the expected events in this series are revelaed.the suspeb=nse though is kiling me.i wish i knew why ray's firm disagreed with his handling of the case.

who killed george more? i tot he wuz the puppet master.i never knew why he ran frm the apartment when he saw katie.



wots the story with tom and why is he determined to run ellen down?



special mention the last scene show with patty hewes and Zeljko Ivanek should have been a season closer for sure!

am real glad it isn't though cause i want to see the end!!

*SPOILERS AHEAD*



I'm not surprised that Damages has turned out to be the most well-written, acted, and most engrossing show on television this season. Now if the two story lines collided with something anti-climatic, I would be surprised. But this wasn't the case. Two big deaths happen in this episode, one of them is expected, the other one not so much. The FCC Investigator being knocked off was predictable, but the fact that Frobisher's people had no idea they hadn't sold him out yet...was made with impecible timing, with Ellen swooping in and snatching the evidence from his lifeless body. I also like that Ellen has more of a heart than I thought, with her uncanny stubbornness and determination to win this case, and helping Patty without having to be her employee. In return, it's revealed that Patty isn't a completely heartless b-tch after all like I thought she would of been all along, and it's also nice to see that she never had an intention of setting Ellen up for murder or even close. However, the set up for another character's deadly fate was written weakly from the starting of the episode, but nonetheless, the writing bounced back and made me think otherwise. It was sad to see Ray go, but it was essential. It was a powerful scene as well, that was acted superbly between Glenn Close and Zeljko Ivanek. The climatic moment was when the gun Ray Fiske had put in his own mouth had been fired, as the screen cut to black, then back to Patty. That gunshot was the sound of the two storylines colliding.



But yet, the mystery is not completely solved. I think it's safe to say that the person stalking David is the person who will most likely kill him, either that or Katie. But the most important question on my mind is; who tried to kill Ellen? And will anyone ever see Gregory Melina's tape? And since it's now appearant that Tom has not created an evil plot with Patty to set up Ellen or kill Ellen, what the hell is he up to?



In my opinion, this is one of the finest episodes ever to appear before a television audience.

This episode was pivotal in that it really started to show where the two story arcs, past and present, started coming together. The viewer is now finding it a little easier to piece together what may have happened as well as have learned of some new witnesses that could shed even more light on the crime. We now find out that David's sister Katie was in the vicinity of Ellen and David's apartment and could very well have been the last to see him alive. She would also be able to clear Ellen, but it leaves the question of why we haven't seen her come forward in the furture arc clearing her? Some answers, more questions. This show is fantastic. Glenn Close's portrayl of Patty Hewes is outstanding as one would expect, but the central characters surrounding her are really top notch and make this show, and this episode, a must see.
