first of all i have to say when Patty asked what the ding-dong was and said it tasted like a ho-ho, i laughed. i thought it was very amusing, so i'm suprised i didn't laugh harder, because i wanted to. she does have her humorous side i suppose. however, she didn't seem up to jokes when she found out she couldn't talk to her son for at least another week. i wonder what's going on there...i'm going to predict that her son outsmarted her once again and found a way to escape the place she sent him to. maybe he blackmailed someone with money to let him go? not a smart move by katie to lie about the drugs, abortion and rehab to patty, but why she keeps protecting Greg is beyond me. i can't believe the little snake screwed her over. but then again, it is a drama...so he makes katie look like an idiot, in which case she takes off and winds up on the couch of the guy that was blackmailing Greg? what the hell? apparently she does remember him, whoever he is. i'm getting pretty bored of seeing Ellen sitting in that interview room at the precinct. at least have her lawyer come get her and bring her somewhere else for a change of scenery.
Where do I begin? This episode had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. As usual the acting is superb and there are more twists than the spaghetti junction! This episode ended on a big cliff hanger and I can't wait to watch the next episode. This sums up to me the series: pivotal, exciting, edge of your seat stuff! Once again this episode has been directed amazingly: there is a wide variety of camera angles and the musical ending at the end of the show was inspired. Although slightly disturbing there is a great juxtaposition of Katie laughing with her brother to her crying over his dead body.
I liked this episode but not as much as others. I was expecting there to be a big surprise at the end, but there was none. The episode was not boring, but it just didn't have enough action or twists and turns. The episode was well written, I will give it that. With Ms. Hewes's joke "This tastes like a ho ho." I laughed a little. Also, when we find out that (SPOILERS) Patty Hewes asked Katie to be someone testify, she knew that she was lying, to make Frobisher think Patty had nothing. We also got to see what happened on that one night stand. I like the episode but I didn't love it.
