At the heart of this episode was the dysfunctional and strangely unbreakable relationship between Ellen and Patty. It was odd, it was competitive and full of mind games, but in the end it was volatile. The final scene with Patty denying the attack was powerful television and the reason we love this show so much.
It only can get better from here.

Patty (Glenn Close) and Ellen (Rose Byrne) wind up caught in a blizzard, stranding them together in Maine as they wait to return to New York. Ellen worries that Patty's attempts at conversation have a malicious motivation behind them.
