(Judges' comments after Billy Ray and Karina's Mambo)
Bruno Tonioli: Billy Ray, I say this with love. You're like a wild beast that cannot be tamed. If by any miracle you remain in this competition, she's gonna end up like a Betty Ford. You're incontrollable, your charm relies on that, but your dancing, well that's another story.
Billy Ray Cyrus: Who's your daddy!
Carrie Ann Inaba: What I love about you is that you make people think that they can do this too and I think that's a wonderful thing.
Len Goodman: You are always entertaining, you always give it your best shot. But this isn't a do one, get one free. You've gotta do two dances of equal merit and I just didn't see it tonight. You suddenly went berserk!
(During their rehearsals)
Julianne Hough: Len's comments sucked.
Apolo Anton Ohno: Sometimes you have to get knocked down in order for you to come back even stronger. And when you're able to come back stronger and bring a new game, that's what it's all about.
Julianne Hough: That's what I'm talking about!
Apolo Anton Ohno: Inject me with your knowledge! I believe that with the choreography that we can come back harder than ever. I don't want there to be a single doubt in anybody's mind that we are going to be in that final. We are shooting for a mind blowing performance.
(Judges' comments on Laila and Maksim's Waltz)
Tom Bergeron: Before we even get to them, I just have to say - every season seems to have a moment and I think we just saw Season Four's.
Len Goodman: It was poignant, it class, it had elegance all about it. Beautiful rise and fall, the movement across the floor was superb. As always, your posture needs improvement, but other than that brilliant.
Bruno Tonioli: For me, now we are in business! This is starting to kick in - the lady in red with the look of love. You sold it, you did it well. Just watch the frame, apart from that excellent!
Carrie Ann Inaba: Watching you go through this transformation, it's amazing. What you brought tonight was emotion. And for me, that's what I always look for. It was true and it was very profound. Well done!
(During Laila and Maksim's practice)
Laila Ali: When I did the Samba, everything came together and I got perfect tens. But next week is the semi-finals and it's important that we continue to do well because it ain't gonna be the same if I'm not in this competition.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy: The Waltz is very, very elegant.
Laila Ali: My Dad's coming this week. So no nasty, spicy stuff. When I first talked to my Dad, he told me that I made him proud and he didn't know that I was proud. So he's very happy.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy: If I could say one thing to Mohammed Ali about Laila, I'd say, "Mohammed, your daughter can dance!"
Laila Ali: Daddy, we choreographed this dance for you, so I hope it brings a smile to your face.
(Judges' comments on Billy Ray and Karina's Foxtrot)
Carrie Ann Inaba: First of all, I just marvel at the fact that you are still in the competition. It really is incredible. You have improved so much, you've come so far. But we are heading to the finals and your technique just isn't quite up to par with the others. Well done, you're ambitious, I appreciate it.
Len Goodman: Well, it had the most content of any dance I've seen you do. The problem was, you did all the right steps but you did them all at the wrong time. But as always, entertaining - good show.
Bruno Tonioli: You always are deliciously awful. It was the Foxtrot of the Temple of Doom! I love him like anybody else, but it was terrible, it was crap!
(During their rehearsals)
Karina Smirnoff: High five for making another week! Whoever would have thought?
Billy Ray Cyrus: I'm just happy to be here. I've made it much further than I ever expected.
Karina Smirnoff: Who's going to choreograph?
Billy Ray Cyrus: I will do whatever you say. Whatever you ask. I'm yours.
Karina Smirnoff: Twist, twist, twist. If I can twist your ass, I'm sure you can twist your own behind better than me! Can you close your legs?
Billy Ray Cyrus: It's been a long time since you tied me up with something. It always makes me feel special when you do that.
Karina Smirnoff: It's the Foxtrot! Watch your steps!
Billy Ray Cyrus: There's only one thing I want to do more than make Karina proud. And that's get an eight.
(Some comments during their rehearsal)
Joey Fatone: It's not a sixty, but it's still good. We're tied right now for first and now it's time to pass everybody and keep on going in first place.
Kym Johnson: That's it!
Joey Fatone: Every new week, it's two new dances. This week, we've got the Waltz and the Mambo.
Kym Johnson: Joey definitely has what it takes to win this competition. He's got the right attitude. (to Joey) I bet you're good at everything!
Joey Fatone: Yeah! I'm good at everything!
Kym Johnson: Joey's very modest and humble.
Joey Fatone: That was pretty good if I do say so myself. (Kym laughs) I don't feel cocky at all, I just feel comfortable.
Kym Johnson: It just has to be beautiful dancing.
Joey Fatone: Len doesn't like razzle dazzle. So I'm going to show him a professional Waltz. No tricks, no fire, I'm not pulling anything out of a hat. Straight up Waltz.
Kym Johnson: You're crying!
Joey Fatone: It's so beautiful. The key to winning this competition is sell that dance. Sell the song. We're selling dances, people! Get them while they're hot!
(Judges' comments on Ian and Cheryl's Foxtrot)
Len Goodman: Well, I always think of you a Mr. Consistency, but tonight you've just taken a bit of a dip. I'm sorry, but this Foxtrot is called the American Smooth. And smooth is what we want, you should glide across the floor. But it was a bit skippy and a bit hoppy.
Bruno Tonioli: I actually agree. The body was like a jumping goat - you know, jumping around from rock to rock. You really didn't get the dance at all.
Carrie Ann Inaba: OK, yes, your footwork was off. But you brought so much exuberance and so much charm to the dance - I thought you did a great job in that respect.
