Dancing With The Stars

(Some comments from the contestants and pro dancers) Apolo Anton Ohno: Even though this is a competition, we've all bonded and we've become really good friends. It's like a little family. Billy Ray Cyrus: I think I've already fell in love about eight different times with the different people that I've met. Julianne Hough: We all have a really great relationship and we're all so supportive of each other that nobody wants to see anyone go home. Kym Johnson: Elimination night is awful. Ian Ziering: As soon as someone gets put in the red light, they go to commercial break and at that moment we all go over to those people and say good luck. Joey Fatone: When someone gets eliminated, they have a talk, they do their last dance, we go up to them and really say goodbye. Kym Johnson: It's all very emotional. And all of a sudden it hits you, this couple is gone tonight, they're not coming back tomorrow. Laila Ali: Different people have different reactions when they get voted off the show. Some people feel like they don't have to do all this work anymore, some people feel like they aren't ready to leave, they didn't get to do their favorite dance yet. And I think that all of us that stay are just happy we aren't the person that was voted off. Joey Fatone: It's hard to see someone get eliminated because you know they tried their hardest. But maybe their hardest just wasn't good enough. Kym Johnson: The competition's heating up on the dance floor. But as the couples are leaving each week, it's getting very empty backstage. Ian Ziering: There's more spaces on the couch, in the makeup trailer, there's less banter in the hallways. It's just empty. Joey Fatone: And you're like, "Hey, Shan- oh, you're not there. Okay, well, hey Clyde- oh you're gone too." Laila Ali: Couples are getting voted off and it can be lonely. But hey, it's lonely at the top. And this is where I wanna be. Billy Ray Cyrus: Every week I've been trying to prepare myself to say goodbye to all my newfound friends. After being in the bottom two, it's starting to feel a little more real. Apolo Anton Ohno: This is a competition, someone has to go home every week. And bottom line, is that we'd all be lying if we said we didn't wish it was someone else, not us. Joey Fatone: It's on Donkey Kong! Laila Ali: I hope that I continue to say goodbye to someone every week and I'm still on that stage, waiting for my trophy.
