This week, the contestants danced either the Jive or the Tango. These dances aren't my favorite, but they're exciting to watch. The best dancer this week was once again Kristi. Her score was 27 again!!! Maybe next week she'll start getting tens. I was really disappointed in Mario's dance. This had to be his worst dance yet. I know he had those high school concerts and stuff, but there have been other stars in his position and they've been able to juggle both their work and dancing. I can't see why he couldn't do it either. Hopefully, he'll do better next week. The best part of the episode would have to be when Bruno was trying to imitate Len's voice when he gave one couple a 7. That was just too funny! Another funny part was the interview before Steve and Anna danced. Steve had to dance with Anna's husband (Jonathan) because Anna got sick and was unable to teach him how to dance. One part of this episode that still confuses me was when Tom lost his voice and had to have some other guy fill in for him. They never told us what had happened.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Just after Jason Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska went backstage after their performance, host Tom Bergeron faked a bad cough that supposedly left his unable to talk, so Survivor host, Jeff Probst, was called over by Tom to take the show to a commercial break.

  • QUOTES (13)

    • Adam Carolla: (to Julianne Hough during rehearsals) I went home and Googled 'Tango.' You know what it's about? Prostitutes and pimps. And guess which one you are.

    • Marissa Jaret Winokur: (to Tony Dovolani during rehearsals) How bad do you have to be to be 'The Bad Boy of Ballroom'?

    • (Judges comments after Kristi Yamaguchi & Mark Ballas' Tango)
Bruno Tonioli: I want you to be a dirty girl!
Carrie Ann Inaba: Your technique is amazing. Your anger on this was just one dimensional. I don't feel much when you dance.
Len Goodman: I've liked everything you've done, and this is no exception.

    • (Judges comments after Jason Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska's Jive)
Bruno Tonioli: It was a cool Jive.
Carrie Ann Inaba: When you hit your lines, they're beautiful. But...this week, you were dancing a little small in your upper body.
Len Goodman: The lines were good, and I liked all the tricks. The bit I didn't like was the rest of it. It had no Jive action. One week you're a rooster, the next week you're a feather duster. That's life.

    • (Judges comments after Priscilla Presley & Louis van Amstel's Tango)
Bruno Tonioli: The Hot Cougar Tango.
Carrie Ann Inaba: I believed every minute of it. Watch the neckline a hair.
Len Goodman: He came at you, you moved away. He came at you again, don't touch what you can't afford sunshine. But no he came on, you gave him a quick flicker and on with the dance. Passion! Drama! Fire and ice!

    • (Judges comments after Marissa Jaret Winokur & Tony Dovolani's Jive)
Bruno Tonioli: It was like a Jive on cruise control. Come out here and live up to the talent that I know is there.
Carrie Ann Inaba: That was boring. You are so much better than this. You're not giving your best.
Len Goodman: It was a little bit careful, and careful doesn't win Dancing with the Stars.

    • (Judges comments after Adam Carolla & Julianne Hough's Tango)
Bruno Tonioli: You're not a master technician, but you're getting better.
Carrie Ann Inaba: I cannot believe I'm going to say this, but Adam Carolla was quite sexy out there.
Len Goodman: (to Julianne) You've done a fantastic job. You made Adam look like a dancer.

    • (Judges comments after Shannon Elizabeth & Derek Hough's Jive)
Bruno Tonioli: love a girl who comes out here and goes all the way.
Carrie Ann Inaba: Every time you come out here, you're surprising, which is good in this competition.
Len Goodman: What I saw tonight was a really good Jive.

    • (Judges comments after Mario & Karina Smirnoff's Tango)
Bruno Tonioli: I didn't think it was that bad.
Carrie Ann Inaba: There were a lot of missteps. You're better than that.
Len Goodman: For me, it was a mess. You've bitterly disappointed me tonight.

    • (Judges comments after Cristian de la Fuente & Cheryl Burke's Jive)
Bruno Tonioli: Are you on rocket fuel tonight?
Carrie Ann Inaba: Just watch your arms. It was fantastic.
Len Goodman: The best dance you've done so far.

    • (Judges comments after Steve Guttenberg & Anna Trebunskaya's Tango)
Bruno Tonioli: Man-on-man did the trick for you.
Carrie Ann Inaba: That was your best dance so far.
Len Goodman: The actor came out in you this time. Your footwork was fantastic.

    • (Judges comments after Marlee Matlin & Fabian Sanchez's Jive)
Bruno Tonioli: You lost the timing a couple of times. The underarm passes could be smoother.
Carrie Ann Inaba: I love the chemistry you two have. Watch your hands a little bit. They're a little bit pancakey.
Len Goodman: I think you did a great job.

    • Tom Bergeron: (while sitting on the floor next to Shannon Elizabeth) There is so much heavy breathing going on around here, I feel like I'm sitting next to a 900 number.
