  • The couples dance the samba or rumba this week.

I was really looking forward to this episode because my two favorite dances are the samba and rumba. The first ones to dance this week were Mario and Karina. They were pretty good. They got a score of 27. The next to dance were Priscilla and Louis. This dance was extremely boring! There wasn't enough dancing and the song was too slow. If I had to guess who'd go home this week, I would have to say Priscilla. The next to dance were Marissa and Tony. In my opinion, this was the best dance of the night! I was extremely impressed with this one! I still can't believe the judges only gave them 24 points. They deserved at least 27. Christian and Cheryl were the next to perform. I liked the colors they wore, but the dance wasn't spectacular. Same goes for Marlee and Fabian. The dance was average, but the interview before they danced was really emotional. It was about the deaf kids getting fit for hearing aids and gaining the ability to hear for the very first time. I almost cried! Now Kristi and Mark and Shannon and Derek were really good!!! The judges weren't fair to Shannon though. She deserved higher marks. Jason and Edyta were the last to dance. They were good, but I don't really like them, so I really have nothing much to say about them.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (0)

  • QUOTES (16)

    • Marlee Matlin: Talk to me!!
Fabian Sanchez: I am talking to you, but you just can't hear me.

    • Tom Bergeron: (referring to Marlee Matlin) Will she melt Len's cold, black heart?

    • Bret Hedican: (After watching his wife, Kristi Yamaguchi, and Mark Ballas dance their Rumba during practice) Looks good Mark. You seem to be drawing something out of her that I haven't seen yet!

    • Kristi Yamaguchi: The Rumba is a little awkward. Here I am a married mom, have two daughters, and here I am dancing with this young, hot thing.

    • Tom Bergeron: How do you get spray tan off a suit?

    • Carrie Ann Inaba: These weird sounds keep coming out of me tonight.

    • Jason Taylor: (to Edtya Sliwinska) If you believe in me, I can go out and conquer the world...of dance.

    • Jason Taylor: The Rumba is sexy, seductive, smooth. It's completely opposite of everything I do in football.

    • (Some of the judges comments after Jason Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska's Rumba)
Bruno Tonioli: You really had the look of the love god during that Rumba. How can you be so light and so big at the same time? Another incredible job.
Carrie Ann Inaba: The two of you have the most insane chemistry on the dance floor.
Len Goodman: You've got a naturalness about you. You're like a bloke, havin' a dance.

    • (Some of the judges comments after Shannon Elizabeth & Derek Hough's Samba)
Bruno Tonioli: You're such a good looking girl, you have to come out and shake those maracas.
Carrie Ann Inaba: Sometimes you did look awkward, but don't give up that attitude.
Len Goodman: As good as that was, it wasn't, for me, really good enough. Not enough hip action.

    • (Some of the judges comments after Kristi Yamaguchi & Mark Ballas's Rumba)
Bruno Tonioli: Your new name is Kristi Yummy-licious.
Carrie Ann Inaba: I have to commend you; you really took a risk this week. I think you gave up some of your movements to have that emotion, but I think it was a good call.
Len Goodman: I'm gonna give you three words: Fab. U. Lous.

    • (Some of the judges comments after Marlee Matlin & Fabian Sanchez's Samba)
Bruno Tonioli: Very, very hot and sexy in the Samba. There is something very inspiring about you because you are so determined.
Carrie Ann Inaba: You had a lot of stumbles and you were out of sorts. You continued, and it came back to life.
Len Goodman: Marlee, you dance with such confidence. The Samba is definitely the most difficult of all the Latin dances.

    • (Some of the judges comments after Cristian de la Fuente & Cheryl Burke's Rumba)
Bruno Tonioli: The chemistry with you two is great.
Carrie Ann Inaba: I actually thought, tonight, the chemistry wasn't there between you two. What I think you need to do to get better is work on sustaining your movements.
Len Goodman: It wasn't gruesome to watch. It was a very competent performance.

    • (Some of the judges comments after Marissa Jaret Winokur & Tony Dovolani's Samba)
Bruno Tonioli: You have more shake than a cocktail bar. You really put the effort in it.
Carrie Ann Inaba: You were workin' it, girl. That was your best routine by far. In the beginning, you were just a little bit off the music.
Len Goodman: Your routine had more bounce to the ounce.

    • (Some of the judges comments after Priscilla Presley & Louis van Amstel's Rumba)
Bruno Tonioli: You seeming sensual, but not trashy. Available, but reassuringly expensive.
Carrie Ann Inaba: You were in your mind a little bit too much this week, I think. It didn't just flow from your body effortlessly.
Len Goodman: It was too careful. I was disappointed in the routine.

    • (Some of the judges comments after Mario & Karina Smirnoff's Samba)
Bruno Tonioli: If your hips could talk, we'd be censored tonight.
Carrie Ann Inaba: It was nice and clean and to the point. It was a very classic routine.
Len Goodman: Work on your footwork a little bit more, but I've gotta tell ya, best dance so far.
