Mario will survive now that he's been booted from the ballroom. The semifinals have arrived and the remaining four celebrities will once again dance two dances they have never done before.
  • The Semifinals have arrived!!!

The best part about this episode was the segment when Len went to all four of the dancers and tried to help them with their upcoming Latin dance. The ending to it was hilarious! And yes, I'm referring to the part where Kym is pretending to be the "Bond girl." The dancing was pretty good. Once again, Kristi is at the top of the leaderboard. Poor Marissa is at the bottom...again. I really like her, so I hope she doesn't get eliminated this week. I can't believe Christian and Cheryl had to dance the samba again! They said last week they were afraid of dancing it again, so I think it was rigged that they would dance it again this week. They danced well though! It's hard to tell he has an arm injury. Jason and Edyta are getting on my nerves. I never liked Edyta, so maybe that's why I want them eliminated this week.moreless
  • Very competitive semifinals

This is the 2nd time I am watching Dancing with stars semifinals and have been looking forward to this week's performances. Honestly I was a bit disappointed especially with Cristian's performances and Kristi's 2nd dance. Firstly Marissa being at bottom was expected. She did pretty well although still bottom among the 4. As for Jason he was the only one with great improvement this week. I was most enjoyed with his first dance it was so fun to watch. Jason's second dance tango was far much better than his last one and I feel he deserve to be in finals. Cristian in my opinion, honestly did not do as well as last week. There was something lacking in both his dances especially his second. I was surprised he got 2 10s for second which leave me feeling it was not very fair. Maybe judges empathize with his situation, Cristian looked stress whole night before his dance. As for Kristi thumbs up for her tango but the 2nd dance if compared to last was not as good. Furthermore Mark dance moves were so much faster than hers and overall its not as smooth has the last one where they get this season's first 30. I believe Marissa should be out this week but taking votings into consideration I feel maybe Cristian could be out as Jason did very well. I have confidence Jason and Kristi were very safe to be in finals. Final scores were very close, Marissa and Kristi just 5 marks between each other. Top 3 scores just 1 mark between each with votings, anything can happen. Just sharing my personal opinion, hope to see my top 2 favourites Jason and Kristi march into next round.moreless

    • (Some of the judge's comments after Kristi Yamaguchi & Mark Ballas' Jive) Bruno Tonioli: It was a sweet, sweet delicious Jive. Carrie Ann Inaba: That was an extremely difficult routine. Tonight you were just a hair out of sync. Len Goodman: I liked the basic steps you put in. But I've gotta say, sometimes you were a little bit stiff.

    • (Some of the judge's comments after Cristian de la Fuente & Cheryl Burke's Samba) Bruno Tonioli: Everyone was partying, me included. Carrie Ann Inaba: That was fantastic, Cristian. Len Goodman: That was hotter than a chili pepper, my Chilean friend. Occasionally for me, it was a little flat footed.

    • (Some of the judge's comments after Marissa Jaret Winokur & Tony Dovolani's Rumba) Bruno Tonioli: You went for it, and you sold it well. Carrie Ann Inaba: I wasn't excited by that. I really don't feel like that was a semifinal dance. It's the semifinals! It's not exciting enough! Len Goodman: I thought you did a very, very good job.

    • (Some of the judge's comments after Jason Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska's Paso Doble) Carrie Ann Inaba: Great job, nice execution. Len Goodman: You're a bit like the price of gas: you're going up.

    • (Some of the judge's comments after Kristi Yamaguchi & Mark Ballas' Tango) Bruno Tonioli: You squeezed every single drop of drama out of the Tango. Carrie Ann Inaba: Welcome back to the dance floor! You are the Queen of the Dance Floor! Len Goodman: Sometimes for me, it was a bit hectic.

    • (Some of the judge's comments after Cristian de la Fuente & Cheryl Burke's Viennese Waltz) Bruno Tonioli: A Viennese Waltz with a wow factor. Carrie Ann Inaba: The movement was great. Len Goodman: This Viennese Waltz had better content, better mix of steps.

    • (Some of the judge's comments after Marissa Jaret Winokur & Tony Dovolani's Quickstep) Bruno Tonioli: It's the semifinal and you missed a move. Carrie Ann Inaba: You're the unlikely contender. Len Goodman: For a dance so technical and so fast, I thought you did a great job.

    • (Some of the judge's comments after Jason Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska's Foxtrot) Bruno Tonioli: This had plenty of movement. You actually gave showmanship to the dance. Carrie Ann Inaba: This dance had a lot more content, a lot more charisma than your previous Fox Trot. Len Goodman: It was fantastic. I loved every part of it.

    • Dan Marino: (to Jason Taylor) You're not gonna let two actors and an ice skater beat you, are ya?
