  • Let us begin once again

Episode one is the best and worst of all worlds. Yes, we got to see all 13 dancers with their partners. There were some new pros and the return of a favorite. The bad news is OMG, it took 2 hours for them to all dance.

I was surprised by Warren Sapp the most. Cloris Leachman did a good job, despite her age. I liked almost everyone and gave all but three teams at least one vote. I am not impressed by celebs who merely pose but do not move their feet and dance.

The first elimination is tomorrow with another round of dancing. Whew! What a week!moreless
  • Back for more!

The eighth season of the show kicks off in a big way. We see a gold medalist, a former NFL player, the oldest contestant, Cloris Leachman at 82. And the youngest contestant, Cory Lindel at 18. Participate to the Cha-Cha and the Fox Trot. I really couldn't stand Kim Kardasian. As she got on my nerves very easy. Also we see that Lance Bass participated while his N'Sync former bandmate and ex-DWTS participant Joey Fatone in the audience watching and cheering him on. Twelve new stars and twelve of their dancing partners on there. It was a sight to see them once again. Can't wait for more.moreless
  • Reaaly long review for the first episode I've seen from "Dancing With the Stars".

This is my first time ever watching Dancing with the Stars, so I'm going to write this review as I watch the episode. Looking forward to see Lacey and Misty May =)

The first couple up is the celebrity Cody Linley and professional Julianne Hough. I really liked these two and they set the expectation high, even though they are the youngest couple. Cody's face was set into this wide grin, it was funny to watch and not bad at all.

The second couple to dance is celebrity Rocco Dispirito and professional Karina Smirnoff. Too bad Karina got the injury, I heard she is a very good ballroom dancer. The energy was there but his musicality was off and so was his footwork. It was good, passable.

The third couple up is celebrity Toni Braxton and professional Alec Mazo. So far this is my favorite dance, lots of energy and the choreography was bold. They both danced it well, the only negative thing was that Toni's hands kinda stuck out a bit, but that isn't too bad. Great dance!

The fourth couple is celebrity Maurice Greene and professional Cheryl Burke. Surprisingly not boring fox trot, fox trot bores me sometimes when I watch it. The one thing is that the choreography didn't really do enough for Maurice, in my opnion. He seems to have potential, but the technique needs work.

The fifth couple to dance is celebrity Brooke Burke and professional Derek Hough. Brooke has great lines and I feel that she deserves the great score the both of them got.

The sixth couple up is celebrity Ted McGinley and professional Inna Brayer. The dance was good, for the most part. Ted seemed stiff in his carriage, but overall the routine was entertaining.

The seventh couple to dance is celebrity Lance Bass and professional Lacey Schwimmer (woot). I thought that this was really, really good. I loved how Lacey made the choreography exciting and edgy, totally cool. Great.

The eigth couple is celebrity Cloris Beachman and her partner Corky Ballas. For an elderly lady, I wasn't expecting her even to be able to dance. I don't know how long she'll last in this type of competition, but it was still good.

The ninth couple up to dance is celebrity Jeffrey Ross and professional Edyta Sliwnska. Luckily, he was still able to dance after his eye injury. Edyta was solid in the routine, but I don't think Jeffrey was good enough. His energy was there and his acting was great but his performance was off.

The tenth couple up is celebrity Kim Kardashian and professional Mark Ballas. Can't say much here, good dance and the pair of them had great musicality.

The eleventh couple to dance is celebrity Susan Lucci and professional Tony Dovolani. Susan was pretty good, sometimes she lost her footing but it still wasn't horrible for the first week.

The second to last couple to dance is celebrity Misty May Treanor (woot) and professional Maks Chmerkouskivy(spelled it wrong). Misty May really slammed this fox trot, my favorite fox trot of the night. Maybe the technique wasn't all there, but she's still great!

Last but not least is celebrity Warren Sapp and professional Kym Johnson. For a heavy dude, he still danced pretty well and I loved his line "from a quarterback killer to a dance floor thriller". I can see him getting far.

I haven't seen the second or third episode yet (watching this while recorded), so I can't anticipate who will go home. So I like this show now and will continue to watch it =)moreless
