(Some of the judge's comments after Gilles Marini & Cheryl Burke's Quickstep) Bruno Tonioli: French class and American flair. Len Goodman: This is great ballroom dancing. Carrie Ann Inaba: You're becoming the fan favorite and making the ladies swoon out there.
(Some of the judge's comments after Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani's Salsa) Bruno Tonioli: Now we are cooking. So much content to satisfy the most demanding appetite. Len Goodman: I was gyrating in my seat. It was absolutely full on. Carrie Ann Inaba: Finally a real salsa. That was slamming!
(Some of the judge's comments after Lil' Kim & Derek Hough's Quickstep) Bruno Tonioli: One a vivacious, uplifting performance. Len Goodman: A lot of quantity, but not a lot of quality. There should be body contact throughout this dance, but there was virtually none. Get refined and precise. Carrie Ann Inaba: It's all working together, choreography was fantastic.
(Some of the judge's comments after Steve Wozniak & Karina Smirnoff's Quickstep) Bruno Tonioli: Very resilient and very charming. A bit rusty. Len Goodman: Loved the Buddy Holly music. Great antics, but the dance quality is not there. Carrie Ann Inaba: If you want to continue, work on your arms and you lose steam halfway through the dance.
(Some of the judge's comments after Steve-O & Lacey Schwimmer's Salsa) Bruno Tonioli: None of it made sense. Where is the salsa? Len Goodman: No salsa in the performance that I could see. Carrie Ann Inaba: The stunts weren't necessary, which is ironic since Steve-O was injured.
(Some of the judge's comments after Lawrence Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska's Quickstep) Bruno Tonioli: You took some notes last week and attacked this performance. Way to go! Len Goodman: Dancing is the same as golf -- practice is required. Well done. Carrie Ann Inaba: That's the way, uh-huh, I like it.
(Some of the judge's comments after Chuck Wicks & Julianne Hough's Salsa) Bruno Tonioli: A wasted opportunity. Julianne did all the work. We want more dancing. Len Goodman: You should come out here and sell this dance. You have to come out and perform it. Carrie Ann Inaba: That wasn't a salsa. Felt more showy.
(Some of the judge's comments after Shawn Johnson & Mark Ballas' Salsa) Bruno Tonioli: One of the cutest little things I've ever seen. Precise and sharp. You've got to work on the naughtiness. Len Goodman: You seem so sure of what you're doing. Throw caution to the wind a bit more. Carrie Ann Inaba: I thought it was fantastic. You have the ability to focus.
(Some of the judge's comments after Ty Murray & Chelsie Hightower's Quickstep) Bruno Tonioli: You were in charge. Still made of hardwood at times, but it keeps your posture straight. Len Goodman: An absolute metamorphisis. Last week a caterpillar, this week a butterfly. Carrie Ann Inaba: So proud of you. That was excellent! Strength in your upper body.
(Some of the judge's comments after Belinda Carlisle & Jonathan Roberts' Salsa) Bruno Tonioli: Timing and the rhythm must be sharper. Len Goodman: Hip action was lacking. Carrie Ann Inaba: I found it a bit lacking in grace. Your legs were apart a lot. The freedom, though, is really nice to see.
(Some of the judge's comments after Denise Richards & Maksim Chmerkovskiy's Quickstep) Bruno Tonioli: Great leg action. I think there's a good dancer in there, starting to come out. Len Goodman: Quite an improvement. Your feet were together. Carrie Ann Inaba: Much better, found your elegance and strength.
(Some of the judge's comments after David Alan Grier & Kym Johnson's Salsa) Bruno Tonioli: Work on the head, Work on the timing. Len Goodman: Far too much of Kym and not enough of you, David. All sizzle and no salsa. Carrie Ann Inaba: Weren't driven by the musicality. Not quite coming together just yet.
(Some of the judge's comments after Holly Madison & Dmitry Chaplin's Quickstep) Bruno Tonioli: Looked like you were running for a bus. Can't be always one or two beats behind. Get your frame right. Len Goodman: The upper body, you have to have a lovely upper posture. Your posture is a bit lacking, but good job. Carrie Ann Inaba: Felt like you were being dragged around the floor. Be an equal partner to Dmitry.
Tom Bergeron: In dress rehearsal, daredevil Steve-O was injured. If you know his show, Jackass, you know the things he's done that haven't sent him to the hospital. The Salsa did.
Denise Richards: This is not a natural feeling, to be halfway bent backwards. I quite frankly would love to meet the person that invented this dance because I don't think he really liked his partner very much!
