Tom Bergeron: We're keeping things age appropriate for Len as well. That gives us a lot of latitude!
Lacey Schwimmer: Wait for me, you can't have a romance with yourself. Steve-O: Oh I can!
Julianne Hough: (about the rumba) It's all about being confident and showing that love that you have for me. Chuck Wicks: This is one dance I definitely don't want to mess up because obviously we love each other and I don't want them to say we don't have any chemistry!
(Judges comments after Ty Murray & Chelsie Hightower's Jive) Bruno Tonioli: The line dancing was good, then the Jive started. You have to kick from the hip. You really are a gentleman. Carrie Ann Inaba: That was definitely an exciting Jive. I didn't think you found your footing. Len Goodman: You're charming. You give it all your all. You try 100 percent. Unfortunately, it took a long while for you to get started.
(Judges comments after Shawn Johnson & Mark Ballas' Rumba) Bruno Tonioli: It was almost angelic. And yet again, sometimes I can see a hint of the devil. Carrie Ann Inaba: This dance, I thought, was difficult for you. Len Goodman: I think you got this just right. I enjoyed the whole thing.
(Judges comments after Lawrence Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska's Jive) Bruno Tonioli: You were having a good time. You were on it all the way. Carrie Ann Inaba: LT – you brought your groove back! Len Goodman: I always thought you were a very intense personality. But tonight you brought out your lighter side.
(Judges comments after Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani's Rumba) Bruno Tonioli: You're so voluptuous and exotic. It's so effortless. I want to see Melissa the annihilator. Carrie Ann Inaba: What really impressed me was the emotional quality of it. Len Goodman: It could be a bit more earthy. Break away from the balletic styles.
(Judges comments after Lil' Kim & Derek Hough's Jive) Bruno Tonioli: Arrest me! I am guilty of love in the first degree. You rocked! Carrie Ann Inaba: That was amazing. I don't know how you do it. That was just mind-blowing. Len Goodman: It was fun, it had energy. You got so carried away with the story of Jailhouse Rock, that it lacked Jive. What was on the label was not in the tin. But I enjoyed it.
(Judges comments after Steve-O & Lacey Schwimmer's Rumba) Bruno Tonioli: Thank God for racy Lacey. You have the charm of an awkward puppy, but the dancing is bad. Carrie Ann Inaba: There was something oddly mesmerizing about the way you danced. It's a beautiful thing to watch. You've come a long way from last week. Len Goodman: You can't confuse movement with dancing. It was no good.
(Judges comments after Gilles Marini & Cheryl Burke's Jive) Bruno Tonioli: Talk about fast and furious. You really put 110 percent in everything you do. Carrie Ann Inaba: You do have to watch your arms. Len Goodman: It's a pity that you went a little bit wrong with one of the steps. The whole thing was a little bit frenzied.
(Judges comments after Chuck Wicks & Julianne Hough's Rumba) Bruno Tonioli: I'll have some more of that, please. You've switched on the raunch factor. Technically, it's not perfect. But this is a step in the right direction. Carrie Ann Inaba: You need to work a little bit more on the technique. Len Goodman: Part of that was more suitable for the bedroom than the ballroom. A little bit too much in the face.
