This is probably one of the best finals I've seen so far in this series =D I was very impressed with the dances, and the music as well. I loved the paso doble that all three couples danced to. I thought it was a very good idea, and I'm glad they picked a good song XD It fit quite nicely with the form of dance. All of the solos in the dance were great, but Gilles and Cheryl's was the best. But Shawn and Mark definitely won the freestyle round! I haven't seen a freestyle that good since Julianne, Apolo, and Helio were in the finals!moreless

I have to say that any of the finalists are worthy of winning the Mirror Ball Trophy. There is no favorite and the competition was the best of all seasons this year.

Tonight was a bit different than other finals. This season, there was a group Paso Doble before the freestyle.

Shawn and Mark started off with a dance that I thought was OK. Melissa and Tony followed with a good one. Gilles and Cheryl were fierce. I agreed with the judges scores of 28, 29 and 30 receptively.

For me, like the judges, the freestyles were a bit too free. Shawn and Mark started off looking like they were going to knock off a liquor store. They were lively and got a perfect score from the judges.

Melissa and Tony did another lively dance that was a bit hip hop. The judges did not like it and gave them a 27.

Gilles and Cheryl had a Flashdance that failed to enthuse me. Carrie Ann and Bruno agreed with me, while Len gave them a 10.

Believe it or not, the final scores were:

    Shawn and Mark 28 + 30 = 58
    Melissa and Tony 29 + 27 = 56
    Gilles and Cheryl 30 + 28 = 58

This means Shawn and Gilles are tied. Only the viewers can decide who will win. Let the voting begin!moreless
