This first episode relies mostly on clips from what appears to be the original series pilot. The pilot may have been a television movie or special episode prior to the series beginning considering the seemingly high-budgeted "flashbacks" and the duel crediting for director & writer. Because this first episode is not the series pilot, there are no introductions of the regular or supporting characters and everyone is already in their place and seems familiar with one another.
