  • And the new bombs keep on dropping but not exploding

Definitely a better episode than the last one with the unit using a clock stopping device to stop the timed mechanism in the lastest German bombs. First up for the unit is a reported UXB in a schoolyard which is near a telephone exchange. While digging for that one, a neighbor tells them he has one in his yard. They employ the clock stopper and it works. Against his better judgement Brian leaves Ken to work on defusing that one while he checks on the school bomb that turns out to be nothing but an old gas main. The yard bomb goes off killing Ken and Brian has to go and tell Ken's wife. Turns out they were not married and she is pregnant. Moved by her situation Brian takes up a collection from the unit for her, then when he goes to take it to her, she is gone. Her roomate says her father, who did not approve of Ken, came to take her home and he donates the money to an orphanage. Meanwhile they discover a new booby trap on the same bomb that killed Ken, an anti-withdrawl feature that goes off when the fuse is removed. Stay tuned for the next episode.moreless
