Rebecca (about Delo): He saved Cincinnatus' life. Daniel: I suppose that's something in his favor.
Daniel: Delo, you and I are gonna have a little talk. Delo: Well, most folks say that's what I do best.
Daniel: Mr. Henderson, if these people wanted to resist you wouldn't be standin' here now talkin' about it.
Henderson: I find your attitude insulting, Mr. Boone. Daniel: You can take it anyway you like but those are my terms.
Delo: All right, I'll go with you, Dan'l. Daniel: Now I'm glad to hear that. That'll make it easier on both of us.
Delo (about the posse): We lost 'em, Dan'l. Daniel: Outrun 'em's more like it.
Daniel: What I've got in mind's apt to get you killed. Delo: Keep talkin'. I stand a good chance of gettin' hung anyhow.
Delo: I understand the penalty for murder, Mr. Henderson, but just 'cause I ran don't mean I'm guilty. Henderson: The court will decide that.
Delo (to Daniel): When I come to Boonesborough the next time it won't be because I'm headed somewhere else.
Jimmy Dean sings Buckeye Jim and Soldier, Soldier in this episode.
Jimmy Dean makes his first appearance on the show in this episode playing a character named Delo Jones. Delo is pretty much the same type of character that Dean would portray when he became a recurring cast member in Seasons Five and Six of the series' run only they would call him Josh Clements instead of Delo Jones.
