Daniel (to Grosscup): If you're success depends on beating Campuits you've got a long, hard row to hoe.

Campuits: This is a site I never thought I'd see. Big Turtle bound like a spitted buck.
Daniel: You gonna unbind me or stick an apple in my mouth?

Towanga: My father's friend is my friend.
Daniel: You know something, that's just the way I'd like for it to be.

Campuits (to Daniel): I have tasted the white man's peace. I have no stomach for it.

Campuits: If you were in my place, would you go?
Daniel: I think I'd take any chance to protect my people, to prevent more killing.

Grosscup: Boone, sit down won't you.
Daniel: I'm a little particular about who I sit down with.
Grosscup: May I offer you a drink?
Daniel: The same goes for drinkin' as sittin' down.

Daniel: What about Campuits?
Grosscup: He'll hang for murder.
Daniel: Then you'd better hang me too because I aim to have your scalp.
