Rawls: I'm not a thief. Daniel: That all depends on how you look at it.

Daniel (to Rawls): You just lay that long handled pig sticker down before I blow a hole in you big enough to walk through.

Daniel (to Rawls): I've been kicked by mules that didn't pack the punch you have in your fists.

Rawls: I have no friends. Daniel: That's easy to understand the way you've been carryin' on.

Daniel: I admire your gumption but you're not gonna get back to Africa that way.

Sharbon: Gimme a drink of rum, Harper. I got a little thinkin' to do.

Rawls (to Daniel): I couldn't give you a word I wouldn't keep.
