Daniel (to Abigail Adams): If I'm carrying $100,000, ma'am, you can rest assured I'll carry it carefully.

Rebecca (about packing): I've never seen a man yet who could do it properly.

Gunsmith (to Rebecca after watching her shoot the pistol): I just hope you ain't mad at anybody, ma'am.

Daniel: You know, driver, I'm willin' to bet you didn't miss a single bump between here and Philadelphia.

Gideon (to Daniel): I've got this old musket charged pretty heavy. When she hits you it makes quite a hole.

Gideon: Pike's got supper ready if you're hungry. Daniel: I'm always hungry.

Barkeep: I'm sorry, lady, but I got a rule against servin' drinks to females. Rebecca: Don't apologize. I'm opposed to it myself.

Daniel: It's been dark for quite a spell now. Gideon: It'll still be dark for quite a spell longer.

Rebecca: You man you're not going with me? Gurney: I learned a long time ago not to be present when a husband and wife get into a fight. Rebecca: Mr. Gurney, what makes you think we're going to get into a fight? Gurney: Lady, you didn't travel all this way just to shake his hand.
