Daniel (to Jericho): What I oughta do is shoot you.
Daniel (to Jericho): You not only don't know much about Indians, you don't know much about anything.
Daniel: With no more sense that you've got, Jericho, I don't know how you've managed to stay alive this long.
Daniel: Either we go back peaceful or this settlement's gonna be overrun with hoppin' mad Creeks.
Mingo: I wouldn't miss this for the world. Daniel: If you were a real smart Cherokee you might.
Daniel (entering the Creek camp): Don't you worry about it, Jericho. Nobody'll lay a hand on you. [Cut to Jericho being tied to a post by the Creek.]
Jericho (to Mingo): You know, I got a feeling Mr. Boone just sold me up the river.
Jericho: What does it mean when an Indian laughs? Mingo: It means he's amused.
Suma (to Daniel about Jubal): Now you scalp him.
Jericho: That guy doesn't like me very well. He'd just as soon shoot me as look at me. Mingo: You can't blame him for that. You did steal his girl.
Suma: Cloth no good.
Cincinnatus: I ain't never seen an Injun yet who can put up with our ways. Daniel: You ain't never been a young gal in love.
Rebecca (about Suma): I don't know whether we're turning her into a lady or she's turning Mima into an Indian.
Jericho (kisses Suma): That's one white man's custom you'd better learn to like because we're gonna be doing a lot of it. Suma: I already like that one.
Mingo (to Jericho): I've been lying awake all night thinking what they'd do to me if you didn't come back.
Mingo (about Jericho): That boy is obstinate.
Mingo: An Indian hasn't been born yet who can whip an Irishman with a club.
This episode was the 13th of the series to be filmed yet didn't air until the finale of Season One. My guess is that it got shelved because the producers had decided to replace Albert Salmi with Robert Logan and felt that a season ending episode introducing his character would be a better segueway into Season Two.
Anne Helm's most famous role is that of Elvis Presley's co-star in Follow That Dream. Helm also dated Elvis when the two were making that film.
This episode marks the first appearance of Robert Logan as Jericho Jones who would be a recurring character on the show during its second season taking the place of Albert Salmi who decided to leave the series after one year.
