Red Hand (to Daniel): The Shawnee call no white man friend.
Jericho (to Daniel): Those legs of yours only have to take half as many steps as everyone else.
Cassady: Boone, where's the rest of your party? Daniel: I guess the three of us is enough.
Mingo: What are you thinking, Daniel? Daniel: I'm thinkin' if we set off to stop an Indian war we're off to a mighty poor start.
Cassady: We're much alike, you and I. The same job to do. Daniel: I like to think we go about it a bit different.
Cassady: The sympathies of the Continental Congress happen to be with us. Daniel: I find that hard to believe.
Cassady: You sound like you're sidin' with the Shawnee. Daniel: In this case I am.
Jericho (to Mingo): I got a funny feeling I wish I were someplace else right now.
Daniel (about Cassady): I reckon he's worth one more try.
Cassady: Are you calling me a liar? Daniel: Not until I find out more than I know now.
Daniel (to Cassidy about the Shawnee): They'll attack. You can depend on that.
Mingo: Looks like Daniel made his point. Jericho: He usually does if you give him some time.
Jericho: Looks like I may get some sleep tonight after all. Mingo: Don't overdo it. You may have to wake up in a hurry.
Daniel (to Cassady): You've already made a liar out of me.
Mingo: Daniel, allow me to congratulate you on your diplomatic finesse.
Daniel: You know, Jericho, I think you need a bath. Jericho: Now hold on a minute. I just swum a river yesterday. Daniel (to Mingo): While we're at it, I think you need one too. Mingo: I take that as a personal affront. I swam the same river that Jericho swum yesterday.
Jericho (to Cassady): You're a fool just like Daniel said.
Jericho: You really think this is gonna work? Daniel: You better hope it does.
