Richardson: I shall take extreme pleasure in attending your execution, Mr. Boone.

Mingo (to Chalmers): The truly civilized man carries his civilization with him.

Jeremiah: If I do any cookin' for him you're gonna have a sick Colonel on your hands. Mingo: It might not be such a bad idea.

Jeremiah: I wouldn't know an herb if I fell on it.

Chalmers (to Mingo and Jeremiah): Being a fort's commandant can be a bore at times.

Jeremiah (to Mingo): I may not be much of an orderly but I ain't no oaf.

Jeremiah (to Daniel): I think Mingo's enjoyin' the playactin' so much he wouldn't leave unless you drug him outta there.

Rebecca (to Mingo): I don't think the British will execute a woman but they shouldn't hesitate to shoot you and Jeremiah.

Mingo: Daniel, you missed your calling. You were born to have been a master spy.

Richardson: You've seen nothing, Colonel, because you are a blind and thorough going fool.

Chalmers: You're not clever enough to get out of here alive. Mingo: We'll do the best we can, I assure you.

Jeremiah: You oughta be grateful, Major. Leastwise, you ain't gonna be shot at sunrise for spyin'.
