Israel desperately seeks help for Daniel who has been bitten by a rattlesnake.

    9.0
    "Superb"
This episode of Daniel Boone features Darby Hinton who, as Israel Boone, must get help for his father when he is bitten by a rattlesnake on a father/son hunting trip. Hinton runs the gauntlet of emotions here as he must battle hostile Indians, animals, and the elements in order to save Dan'l's life. The viewers also get the chance to see for themselves just what a fine actor Hinton was. One of the best child actors of that era who, sadly, has been largely forgotten today. We also get a brief appearance from none other than Jock Ewing (Jim Davis) who has a small role as a trapper. A well worth watching episode of a fine series.moreless
