Daniel (about the British): We better see if we can make them come to us.

George (about Daniel): What kind of man is it that would walk down there unarmed? Mingo: Captain, when you understand what kind of a man he is, then you may want to call off that duel.

Ferguson: I do not think you are in a position to dictate terms, Mr. Boone. Daniel: Now that's where we disagree, Major. See that cannon up there.

Mingo (to Daniel): Would you mind telling me what you have in mind or is that asking too much?
