  • not bad

    "Great"
well this episode was not THAT bad but its still not my favorite storyline. danny meets a ghost named tecnos or somthin and he needs to stop and dystroy him before things get worst. this is the first season and for the first season of this show this episode was not that bad. most shows will have boring episodes in season 1 but not this show i mean in the ending and the middle of this episode was not that bad but in the beggining was alittle boring. and besides tecnas (i forgot how to spell his name) is not my favorite episode in the series but still i liked this episode cause it had good action :) i give this episode a 8.1/10

  • It was pretty good.

This episode was very creative, and I enjoyed the story line. But as I've said before, I'm not too much of a Technus fan, and he kind of annoyed me. But I have to admit liking Danny in his gangster party sweats. I also liked how Sam said she didn't need popularity to be happy and that she planned on keeping her family's wealth a secret. Danny, in the end, decides that he just liked being with his real friends, and that's what makes him completely adorable. I thought the plot was alright, but I have to love Danny's cluelessness. This was adorable, defintaly original.
  • There's a new ghost!! Technus, master of technology!! Danny goes to a party for popular kids!

    9.2
    "Superb"
This was a fairly good episode, but definitely not the best! Anyway, Technus is a new ghost and loves technology! Danny goes to a party that his sister made Dash invite him to!! Jazz isn't even going to go to the party!! hehe, i love how in the beginning Jack says the lab should look exactly how he left it, but it was trashed and he was like, yeah, perfect!!:P Plus we learn that sam is filthy rich and has a floating toaster from Denmark!!:D Oh and I totally LOVE his sweatsuit that all the cool kids wear!! SIGH!! Looks sooo good!! This was a good episode!
  • Danny must stop a techno ghost named technus before he takes control of all technology and takes over the world.

    7.8
    "Good"
I didn't like this episode too much. In my opinion, this is one of the worst episodes in the whole series. I don't care for Technus - I don't like his voice (it gets annoying) and I don't like how he kept shouting out his plans for the whole world to hear. I didn't like the fact that Danny kept ditching his friends to hang out with the popular people who hated him. I did like the fact that Danny took all of Dash's stuffed bears that were in his closet and put them in his locker at school to get revenge on not telling him about the dress code for the party.
  • It was an alright episode.

    7.4
    "Good"
This episode was okay. But the only thing that was annoying was the villian. Technus is the most annoying villian I could ever see. But I guess he's supposed to be this way. I know later on he get's better but this was a bad start for him. He clearly was a weird villian. But he did have his comical points. Though he wasn't that scary. Still I suppose for Danny he was a hard villian to beat. But I didn't get much of his character I'm still trying to figure him out. Still it was a decent episode no complaining. It's not my favorite but not my least either.
  • Danny is invited to a popular party, while a ghost who controls technology is on the loose.

    6.6
    "Fair"
Shortly after wrecking the lab while fighting a ghost, Danny is invited to Dash's big party without Tucker or Sam. He then starts to hang with the popular kids, all while blowing off his friends. He then sells some stuff from the shed, some of which was in the lab wreck, to pay for a sweatsuit to wear to the party. Even though he gets the suit, the stuff he sold has been contaminated, and is now being controlled by Technus, ghost master of technology!

I got to be honest, I wasn't too thrilled with this episode. After the steps up the show had taken from MM to OoaK, AotKGS was kind of a step backwards.

The opening was okay, but I didn't really like the fact that Dash had a crush on Jazz, and Jack's part at the end of the opening was something I didn't like a lot. To me, there's a type of stupid that has me laughing for a period, and then there's a type of stupid that just makes me roll my eyes. The latter was what I saw, when he didn't notice the lab had been messed up. And when we was re-entering the lab saying, "I can't wait to see the lab looking exactly the way I left it!" That was just a bit too FOP-ish for me, and when those two shows merge, it just comes out sour.

After the opener, things were without mistakes for a little while. We all knew that Danny didn't see anything wrong with Paulina after PB, so I was fine with that. But when Danny got the invitation, things started to take a small bit of a nosedive. He didn't seem to care for Sam's sarcasm in her "Popularityville" comment.

Danny himself bothered me for a good portion of the episode. His thing with disregarding the fact that there might be something wrong and caring more about the party was Timmy-ish. But I might be judging to harshly since this is only the fourth episode, but it's still something I never like to see.

Tucker and Sam were done great in this episode. The fact that Sam was rich was quite a surprise, and also the fact that Sam didn't care that she was rich was very good. One of the reasons why Sam is such a good character for the show is that she's comfortable with who she is, and the way she was presented here proved it. As for Tucker, it was Tucker-ish for him to run off and leave Sam to clean up at the sale, and it was also funny to see him try and hit on Tracey.

The few short scenes with Jazz were pretty good, except for the fact that she actually lied to Dash in saying that she'd go to the party. But the scenes with Jack, Maddie, and the mutant hot dogs were hillarious, and very Jazz.

The fight scenes were on the lower levels of MM and PB. The movements seemed choppy, and while there was a good bit of humor in them, it's just not the type of action which I have a particular taste for. Also, the fact that Tucker and Sam just gave Danny the cold shoulder, despite the fact that he was in trouble, turned me off. Sure, they're mad at him for ditching them, but just ignoring him when he's getting pounded? Oy. But the short little scene with the razor/blade at the end of the first part was pretty good, a good way to turn things up after Lancer's backhair scene (YEESH!).

All in all, this episode didn't do that badly. Danny does grow in character here, even though it's in a very cliched manner. AotKGS gets 6.6/10.
  • Danny ignors his friends for the populer kids.

    8.1
    "Great"
In this episode Danny is invited to a party with all the populer kids. Danny begins to ignor his two friends Sam and Tucker and they begin to get annoyed.

Danny then realises that what he did was wrong and apologises. He also has to fight this big robot ghost which was wierd.

We also find out in this episode that Sam is RICH!
  • allow me to introduce the latest ghost technis

    9.0
    "Superb"
technis is a good villain but he talks way too much. Which is one reason i thought he was cool. But he used words in the episode too big for him i think. it was pretty funny how on one scene danny kept punching giant technus and then technus just slapped him and he went right back down. if danny had the ectoplasmic energy blast in that episode he could have won the fight. but technus was distracted by his long introduction to himself. in reality technus is probably one of the stronger ghosts if you really think about it.
  • Danny \"Fenton-meister\" is invited to Dash\'s party, with one little problem: he needs $200 to buy a \'fresh\' outfit. The solution? A garage sale with his dad\'s ghost-hunting junk. The result? TECHNIS (an electronics ghost)-BOT!

    7.0
    "Good"
Good episode! I particularly enjoyed the teddy bears in Dash\'s closet and the \"I don\'t even wanna know!\" Also, Technis\' first TECHNO-BOT speech is partially based off an old Galactus (X-Men) speech from the cartoon show. I gave this episode a 7 out of 10 because of the gaps in the dialogue, but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed it. This episode was also a milestone in \"Danny Phantom\" history, because we got our first insight into Sam\'s family, and found out how filthy rich they are. Not to mention that creepy view of Lancer\'s super hairy back! *Shudder*

  • Technus is a great villain!

    8.5
    "Great"
Danny gets invited to Dash's party but he needs to wear an expensive shirt and pants. The problem is he doesn't have enough money. While Danny is in the lab he ly releases Technus the master of technology. He fights him but Technus escapes. Danny decides to sell some of his dad's equipment for money. He buys the clothes and heads for Dash's house. On his way there he encounters a flying shaver that HE sold. He fights it and continues on his way. Dash, at his house is using his computer that has been infected with Technus! Technus uses technology to make a battle suit. Danny finds him and tells him he's not going to get the upgrade disk. Technus wasn't even thinking of that. Danny tries to prevent him but he fails. Technus hits him to where Sam and Tucker are. Danny asks them for help but they refuse because Danny was ignoring them when cool people were talking to him. He says he's sorry so Tucker into Technus to help Danny. Danny then captures Technus using the Fenton Thermos. This is a very good and funny episode.
  • Danny must face Technis, ghost master of all Technology in this ep., but Danny has social problems too. He gets a chance to go to his first popular party, but it would mean ditching his friends, which he did. Then he went back to them and defeated Technis

    7.7
    "Good"
Not the greatest episode, but it was okay. At least we know that Sam is filthy rich, and Danny still doesn't know since he ditched them for a night. This episode was more about Danny's social conflicts then ghost-fighting, but that's okay. Things can't be the same for all episodes. Dash has TEDDY BEARS!. Some tough guy he is. This episode revealed Danny's weakness and he is going to have to get stronger for later episodes. At least he has control of his pwers now. For something new, it was Sam and Tuck that save that day. Technis is an annoying geek. His voice annoys me, but if it's good for the show, then I'll be fine with it. The battle scenes were poor this time with low amounts of action.
  • YAY we get too see Sams house.

    "Perfect"
I said informative because we find out that Sam is rich. That gives us aloy of info. But I like Tecnus he is funny to me. He uses tecnologe. Which is bad news for Tuker sence he carrys around so much of it. I like this episode it was so great.
  • Here's a tip: don't buy anything from danny's house. Especially if Danny is going to use the money to buy a cool outfit for a party and totally ditch his friends. Will sam and tucker help this jerk? Read more...

Danny sells his parents old junk at a garage sale so he can buy clothes and look hip for a party. His sister got him invited to the party. Danny totally ditches his friends for like a whole week to hang with the popular kids. Sam and Tucker got P.O. Then the night of the party a ghost named Technus gathers all the things electronic that danny sold and creates a battle suit. When Danny has to fight him it ruins his night. Worse yet his friends won't help him! So Danny apologizes and then they help him. Seems fair.
  • Episode 4 - Attack of the Killer Garage Sale - My summary and opinion on this episode.

    8.0
    "Great"
    My Summary of this episode:

Jazz is tutoring Dash in Math, but he is only there to be with her. Danny comes in and is surprised to see Dash. Danny leaves, and Dash invites Jazz to a party. Jazz says she will go if Dash invites Danny too. Danny goes to the lab to see his dad working his new ghost invention to suck ghosts in like a vacuum cleaner. Jack tries it and it sucks the Thermos inside. Jack tells Danny to take care of it and leaves. While he is gone, the portal opens, and a ghost called Technus, Ghost Master of Science and Electrical Technology escapes. Danny uses his dad’s invention to suck Technus in, but with it, the invention takes in too much and explodes, leaving green ghost goo all over the place.

Afterwards the gang hangs out at Nasty Burgers, where Danny and Tucker are disappointed on not being invited to Dash’s party. Danny keeps staring at Paulina, when Dash comes over and gives him an invite to the party, because Jazz insisted on it. Danny becomes excited and everyone starts noticing him, even Paulina. Dash tells Danny to wear specific cool clothes for the party, which Danny cannot afford. He asks his parents if he can have the money to buy new clothes, but they refuse and tell him to earn his own money. Just then, Maddie tells Jack to throw out old electrical junk that they have had in the lab. Jack doesn’t want to part with it, and Danny gets an idea on how he can make extra cash quickly. He secretly takes all the junk and sells them to make enough money to buy his new clothes for the party. Little does he know that the ghost of Technus is spread in all the supplies that he sold, and when people take it home to start using them, things become really bad because Technus starts controlling them.

Since Danny is ignoring Tucker and Sam, they decide to get together at Sam’s place. Tucker finds out that Sam is filthy rich and lives in a mansion. They realize the truth about Danny’s haunted tools when Sam’s remote (which she bought from Danny at the sale) starts moving on its own and destroying her place. Sam and Tucker want to help Danny but on the other hand, want to teach him a lesson for ignoring his friends.

Danny goes to Dash’s party, only to find out that Dash changed the dress code, and Danny is the laughing stock of the party. He goes to Dash’s room, where he is attacked by Technus, and goes to Sam and Tucker for their help. They don’t feel like helping him, because of what he did to them. Now Danny has to fight Technus and win his friends back somehow.

    My opinion on this episode:

This episode was good but not that great. Some of the scenes like when Danny arrives at the party to see everyone dressed like how he would normally dresses, or when Tucker asks questions to Sam about how rich she is were hilarious. Apart from that, the action was pretty normal compared to the other episodes. Technus was more annoying than scary, which I guess was the main let down.
  • The master of long-winded speeches is introduced.

    9.0
    "Superb"
One of many episodes where Danny tries to became popular and succeeds for a short period of time, The villian in this episode is both funny and annoying, not a smart one either, always shouting out his plans, and takling about himself. like I said hes funny and annoying. Above all an average episode.
  • Danny faces a technical ghost. Can he stop it before he upgrades and becomes to powerful.

    8.5
    "Great"
This episode begins when Danny walks into his high-tech basement and finds a swift ghost terrorizing his parrents equipment. He then goes ghost and attacks the ghost. The ghosts shout that his name is Technis, destroyer of worlds and master of technology.

Danny uses his parents latest invention, the Fenten Ghost Sucker. This device loks and works like a vacuum, only it sucks and stores ghosts. After sucking up Technis the vacuum overloads and explodes getting ghost goop all over Danny's parents things.

When Danny walks into his kitchen hoping for a small break in his day he runs right into Dash, at his house! Jazz walks in and explains that she is tutoring Dash for a week or two. Later that day Danny meets his two friends Sam and Tucker at the Nasty Burger.

Dash was there too, handing invitations to a big, popular, jock party. Danny and his know that they would not be invited, until Dash walks up to Danny and says "My sister made me invite you, so dont make me regret it."

Danny is told that he must wear some certain type of clothes to the party. Once he sees the price Danny decides to make a garage sale using his parent old equipment that was contaminated with ghost goop. Danny selld Dash a computer and upgrade disc then runs out to the mall to buy his new cool clothes.

Later in this episode you find out that Sam is filthy rich. But Danny doesnt know that yet. All around the neighborhood the items Danny sold are coming to life and haunting people. At Dash's party Danny is having a lousy time, but then his ghost sense goes of and leads him to Dash's computer.

The computer is Technis! He creates a giant robot and begins to destroy everything. Danny is beating him until Technis finds the upgrade disc and upgrades! Danny can't beat him now. So he recruits Sam and Tucker for help. Danny distracts him and Tucker hacks the robots system then Sam uses the thermas to capture Technis. Once again Danny Phantom saves the day.

  • After accidentally destroying the lab, Danny is invited to Dash's big party. While at the party, he finds out that the ghost Technus has infected a computer and plans on using a robotic body of appliances to take over the world!

    5.6
    "Mediocre"
"Attack of the Killer Garage Sale" featured the first big teen moral of the show and introduced Nicolai Technus, the self-proclaimed ghost master of science and electrical technology. After accidentally destroying the lab fighting Technus, Danny is invited to Dash's big party (the big oaf invited Jazz who wouldn't go unless he also invited Danny). In order to fit in, Danny sells the junk from the fight with Technus at a garage sale. His newfound popularity soon leads him into ignoring Tucker and Sam and acting extremely shallow. While at the party, he finds out that Technus has infected the junk and plans on using his robotic body of appliances to take over the world!

I don't really like "Attack of the Killer Garage Sale." It's hard to write out several times during a review, for one thing. So I'll just not write it out all the way. All the problems that people have with "Shades of Gray" and "Fanning the Flames" I find to be here; typical run-of-the-mill plot and presentation, boring animation, and poor characterisation (note I didn't say development).

As the fourth episode, maybe I'm analysing too much by saying Danny's acting OOC. The first three episodes showed that he had a crush on Paulina, but had no aspirations on moving up the social ladder. At this point, we're still supposed to be meeting the characters and seeing all their sides, but something about this turned me the wrong way. Having said that, Danny *does* learn a lesson and grow as a character in this episode. The way they presented his development, though, reminded me a bit too much of FOP's "A Wish too Far."

The animation just seemed dull. There was no energy in the fight sequences and there was nothing cinematic about the cinematography. The characters also seemed shorter than normal in a couple scenes. Minor thing, yes, but it bugged me a bit.

Now, having gotten the negative out of the way, I have to admit that Technus is a wonderfully amusing villain. His long-winded speeches and manner of speaking never sieze to amuse me. I think he was better in "Teacher of the Year" than here, but he was wonderful right from the beginning. Jack was, as always, amusing, and Mr. Lancer...now that back hair is just scary.

Overall, I didn't like how they handled the episode or the plot they chose to use, but it did develop Danny's character. Part of my problems with "Splitting Images" and "Fright Night" are that, in terms of developing Danny's character, all they do is repeat what was done here. "Attack of the Killer Garage Sale" gets 5.6/10.
