  • The Box Ghost is up to it again, and has found the ultimate box, Pandora's Box! He unleashes it to only find it to be vanquished by Pandora herself!

This was a strange storyline because we've never had the Box Ghost as a "Villain" before. He's been more of a time filler. But, the episode is good because it was interesting and at the same time, odd. It was interesting to have Pandora guest at that time, because when it aired, I was reading that Myth. Pandora was supposed to be a curse on Mankind in Greek Mythology, and was given a box that was never to be opened. She was so curious that she opened the box, and unleashed all sorts of plauges on Man. But, anyway, back to the episode. I would say that this is a good episode. Not the best, but pretty good.
  • okay so that box ghost is stealing the show again!

Why? The Box ghost is actually being a threat! I think it is good that the Box ghost can be an actual threat sometimes. This episode was about the box ghost stealing pandoras box which contained all the worlds evil and he used it for evil!Danny had to find Pandora herself to get the box back from the box ghost! I think that this episode was great! I can't wait for the next one to come out! I thought it was pretty funny! And I'm glad that Danny finally used his ice powers because he hasn't used them since urban jungle and that makes me sad because i think its a cool power.. I also liked how they portraided Pandora as like all evil at first but how shes like all kinda fruity in a way! Especially when it came to Jacks smores! I hope the next episode is like this and I hope this TV show keeps on going and I hope it never ends! I do not remember the details of this episode, but as far as I can tell the Box ghost was only powerful with that box he stole. And Pandora with the help of Danny was able to snatch it right back. Though it was harder than normal seeing as how the Box ghost had some strength. I like the Box ghost better as a guy trying to be a villain but is bumbling. Sam really does know her mythology, I have to say. As for Danny, he could use a lesson.
  • The Box Ghost gets his hands on the worst box of all - Pandora's Box!

Tired of being neglected and underestimated, the Box Ghost sets out to make people "beware!" with a series of increasingly ludicrous boxes. But when he stumbles upon Pandora's Box and unleashes the evil within, Amity Park is striken with invading monsters, and the little nimrod's own increasing power as the magic of the box works its influence on him. Unable to conquer the source of evil alone, Danny must track down Pandora herself to restore order.

    Hmm...

I was not particularly looking forward to this episode. I really don't mind that The Box Ghost is just a comic relief, nuisance, and sometimes ally - for me, that's his character, and it's his niche in the show. To flesh him out and make him a fully capable adversary is not what I want to see out of him. I didn't think this episode would do that, however; I just didn't think that The Box Ghost could carry an episode without the comedy going too far, a la IC.

I don't think too much comedy was this episode's problem; it's actually got a fair balance between comedy and ghost-fighting, and I found it pretty darn funny. The biggest problem I have with it is how "blah" the main cast was, which I think does stem in part from the main antagonist.

I like to think that The Box Ghost really just wanted people to "beware!" and that his later cardboard malevolence came from the box. Of course, that kind of evil sounds ridiculous coming from his voice. And, because there's not really a real villain behind the story, the heroes don't really have anything to face. And when your main characters don't have anything to fight against, you get thirty minutes of stillborn razzle-dazzle; it looks cool, but what's the point?

And, of course, since our favourite little nimrod is under the spell of Pandora's box and thus not himself, his trademark brand of corrugated cardboard comedy isn't around, and so the character gets lost to service the plot.

So the main characters have nothing to fight against, and thus nothing to bring them out. A central comedy character is altered to service a bunch of giant monsters. IMO, a recipe for blah stew.

I did enjoy some things in this episode. Jack and Tucker had some great quips, Jack especially. I loved the ongoing "s'more" gag. And though I realise that the Greek references were often innaccurate, they do tie in to what may be a young kid's perception of ancient myth, which is nice. I'm not as attracted to the ancient Greeks as I am to the ancient Chinese, Japanese, Celts, or Inuit, but I did enjoy the references - and how it related to Sam.

But, as I mention Sam, I must follow the opinions of many of my friends - that D/S moment was forced, big time.

Pandora herself was a decent character, if not especially memorable. I didn't mind the changes made to her; this is Pandora the Ghost Zone ghost, not necessarily Pandora the woman of the legend behind evil and hope. A character was adapted into another character, which I didn't mind. But she could have been less boring.

Animation was great and music was great. But again, the biggest issue of the episode was that the main characters had nothing to fight against, and thus, didn't stand out. The episode had no roots. It was IC all over again, but I didn't gag quite as much.

this episode was "ok" but idk i wanted there to be something more ya no that spark that says "keep me on tv for another season" and i jus didnt feel that from them at all. there are only a few more eps left until the series finale of danny phantom but hopefully nickelodeon wont cancel it. so this episode was all about pandora's box and how the box ghost stole it and had ultimate power. in the end danny found pandora and him and her together stopped the box ghost and pandora got her box back from the box ghost.
  • This episode deserves a perfect 10!

That's right! This episode of Danny Phantom deserves a perfect 10 from me.This is one of the funniest, actiony, and most original episode of Danny Phantom I've ever seen!First,it starts out with the Box Ghost practicing his catch phrase:BEWARE!Then he stumbles upon some wanted Posters. Then he finds his 'not wanted' poster.Where he is worth only 2 dollars and 50 cents!

Then after 8 tries of trying to make people fear him,he steals Pandora's box! Then he becomes very powerful and Danny can't stop him.So he goes to Pandora for help. Then with Pandora's help, they finally stop the Box Ghost. But you can't help feeling sorry for the guy though. It works out for the Box Ghost too.He is now worth....50 dollars!

This episode was really good. It was soooo funny! The beginning part where the Box Ghost sees he's only worth $2.50 was hilarious! I also liked the part where he tries to hurt Danny and the other by throwing sandwiches and shoes at them. One of my favorite lines was when Jack was fighting the ten headed monster. He ran up to it with his weapon and yelled "I don't have a clever quip!" It was sooo funny! The D/S moment was cute. Sam hands Danny her mythology book and they stare at each other for a minute and when Sam looks away, Danny continues to stare at her with tenderness and warmth. It was so sweet! Another good part was when Danny saved Skulker from the unicorns. I was practically on the floor rolling with laughter when Skulker told Danny not to tell anyone about what happened.
  • One of the best episodes I have ever seen!

This episode is one of favorites! First up we have the Box Ghost as the main viliain. What is up with that? Personally I think that every ghost no matter how weak, should have its time in the spotlight. So this episode is the Box Ghost's chance in the spotlight. Did anyone see which box the Box Ghost used in this episode? A Lunch Box. Reminds me of Box Lunch! Next we have lots of appearances of new ghosts. Pandora. Hmm. What is it with the multiple arms? We also see alot of ancient greek legendary ghosts. I really like the unicorn, pegasus and the centaur ghosts! Danny was great in this episode. Yay! He uses his ice powers again! I love his new ice powers! Just one more thing. I really like it how Danny said the Box Ghost's line of "Beware!" at the end of this episode. So this is one exciting episode!
  • The evil ghost of Pandora, becomes the secret weapon for the weak box ghost. After being ridiculized in front of all people, he becomes furious at his $2.50 bounty and of the way people talk about him.

I liked this episode. It's like you didn't imagine that the Box Ghost would become evil! Really good one! I loved how the mythology creatures appeared on the episode. A really good one, for the danny show. Has anyone ever heard of Pandora? o.o I haven't. If you know where to find information about her can you please tell me? I got thrilled because of the episode! ^^'

At first, I never thought of Pandora being a good ghost. I thought she was evil! But then everything changed!!!

xD yeah she rocked! I also liked the WANTED signs, they were funny.
  • I've been waiting for this for a LONG time. Yay, Box Ghost!

The Box Ghost as the main villain? AWESOME!! Come on... the guy needs some more love. He threw "Evil sandwiches" and "Shoes of Death" as an evil plot and all the people did was love him for it! So he got angry (Who wouldn't be if you were only wanted for $2.50?) and went to the ghost zone to get something very evil... Pandora's box. Yes, "The Great Butch" brought some Greek mythology into the series!! Pandora was AWESOME, let me tell you that! The Box Ghost went back to Amity Park and started letting out evil things. First bats, then snakes (Tucker REALLY loved that bit right there), and eventually leading up to a giant 10 headed monster! Things got a bit out of hand, so Sam jumped into action with her knowledge of Pandora. She gave Danny a book about her (Which ended up being a DxS moment. I love the pair... but COME on. A book?) and told him to go find her in The Ghost Zone. After jumping through some hoops, Danny finally reached her castle. He convinced her to help Amity Park and the locked up all of the evil once again. The Box Ghost, now being normal, was no real threat. But a few ghosts were still DEAD scared of him. That brought his "Wanted Price" up to $50.00! ><

I really enjoyed this episode because of the Danny/Sam moment and all the Greek references. I've always been intersted in Greek Mythology and am glad Danny Phantom now has a connection to it. Plus, the Box Ghost never was much of a villain until now so he deserves his own episode. And Danny picked up on how to use his ice powers so fast! I'm so proud! Oh, and I liked the "Beware! [Laughs] Hey, that's fun to say" at the end. I've learned a lot from this episode, including that there's a book for Goths on mythology. This was yet another phantastic episode!

Okay, this is going in my Top 10... amazing episode!

The Box Ghost gets demonice powers by opening Pandora's box. To stop him, Danny has to fight off mystical creatures to get to Pandora, so she can help him get the box away from the BOx Ghost. Great humor, a very good D/S moment, Skulker getting beat up by unicorns, people thinking the Box GHost is a cateror, and Pandora torturing The Box Ghost!

    Great episode!

    Favorite Lines:

Danny: Beware! (laughs) Hey, that is kinda fun to say. Sam (to Danny): The book says her realm is weird and dangerous. Use it to guide you. (Hands Danny the book)

(Danny takes the book and he and Sam smile at each other for a moment)

Sam (Looking away): It was the last copy at the Skulk and Lurk, so...uh...just be careful. (Softly) Okay?

Danny (Smiles at her): I'll be back. I promise. (Flies away)

Sam: The box isn't suppose to be used for evil?

Tucker: But I thought it contained all the worst malevolence in the universe?

Pandora: It does, because I created it to contain it all. I was trying to help rid the Ghost Zone of all this malevolence as you say, and make both our worlds better and less evil. Underneath all this fury and rage, I'm really a very kind and thoughtful gal... ARGH!

(She shocks the Box Ghost again)

The Box Ghost: Ow! So much pain! Danny: (reading about Pandora's box) Plauges, pestulance, boy bands? Oh this is one evil box! Box Ghost: Beware the shoe box of DOOM!

Danny: What's so scary about shoes?

Tucker: Dude. Have you ever smelled yours? Sam: (To Danny) So. What do you think The Box Ghost will do next?

Danny: Well I don't care. If I hear "beware" one more time, I'll-

    The Box Ghost: Beware!

Danny: Sigh and put down my sandwich.
  • It had a great plotline, an uber-cute D/S moment, and even some character development. Other than being rushed and having a not-too-great ending, it was a good episode.

Wow, the Box Ghost can actually be a threat! You see him in the beginning as just a humorous side character, but he actually can be evil! I thought this was a great (if shocking) plot. The D/S moment was ADORABLE. Sam didn't care about the book...she cared about who she was giving it to. I loved how Grey DeLisle did Sam's voice in this part. It seemed to show Sam's softer side...especially in that soft little "okay?" at the end. I'm glad they put this D/S moment in there. It was nice to see a little mushy fluff for once.

Though it was rushed and Pandora seemed a little too preachy at the end, it was a really good eppy.
  • Loved the plotline and mythology, ending not so much.

The mythology was first off really cool, and they're were actually really accurate with the story which was cool. I liked Sam's role in this episode, cause she was helpful but not over bearing or annoying. And as a hardcore D/S fan i loved the D/S moment. It reminded me a lot of the moment they had right before he went off to fight Pariah in Reign Storm. It was a really sweet moment:D I did not like the ending very much. The fact the Pandora was first really angry and then she switched to be nice was strange... I also thought the ending was to sugar-coated and cheesy with her making him apologize. I just didn't like how they wrapped up Pandora's char. Anywho, it was a good episode with great action, funny jokes, a sweet D/S moment and the fact that the main characters were fun to watch. The ending just could've been better.
