  • I will always remember Ember as a freakin' awesome ghost!!!!!!

This is my all time favorite episode of the show. It's the first real time that we get to see how Danny and Sam actually feel about each other and it is so great. In previous episodes others would say "I always knew you two would end up together" and they wouldn't really do anything about it, but they are sort of doing something about it now, even if Danny is under a spell half the episode. Also love Ember. She is the most awesome ghost ever. I've actually got a chance to look up the full version of her song "Remember" and it's the most heartbreaking song ever. As one other reviewer put it, we really do get to find out how she died.

For those who are curious about how she died, the song says that she was in love with a guy and he broke her heart. She was in so much grief that she collapsed and never woke up while her house burned down with her inside. This song shows a lot about her as a ghost and why she's so down on love and needs people to fawn all over her. Overall an amazing episode in a truly amazing series.
  • A rock star ghost, named Ember, comes to Amity Park and uses her power to control every teen in town, except Danny and Sam.

Fanning the Flames was great episode because there were some clues that Sam does like Danny. I thought that was so cute, except the part where Danny gets hit by Ember's spell and falls madly in love with Sam. Good thing she was wearing those cool anti-ghost noise headphones, otherwise she would've gone all lovey dovey too. I bet Paulina was jealous whenever she sees Danny and Sam together. Why? Because she couldn't find a decent boyfriend of her own. Maybe if Paulina would loose the snooby girl act, she would. Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, if I was an animation critic I would give this episode 9.5 out of 10 stars.
  • This episode was so freakin' awesome!!!!!

This was, by far, one of the best episodes ever!! I love the entire story. If you've never seen this episode, I'll give you the 411: There's a ghsot who's a rock star named Ember that can use her music to control people. To gain more power, people have to chant her name over and over again. The only way to do so is to influence teenagers to listen to her music so she can control everyone. The only ones who aren't affected by Ember's music, is Danny and Sam because Danny's a ghost and Sam has on some headphones that filter out ghost signals. So they find a way to stop, but Ember uses her guitar on them. Danny was affected by the music because he was in his human form, but Sam wasn't because she was still wearing the headphones. The music accidentally caused Danny to fall in love with Sam. It started to get a little creepy to her because he was being really obsessed with her. The only way to break the spell is to do something so horrible that it's the negative to that particular spell. The only way Sam could break Ember's spell was to kiss someone (You really don't want to know who it was...:() Danny was heartbroken so he took his anger out on Ember by beaating her and to break the spell, he had Tucker sing (he sounds like a baby being spanked with a dying cat) and Ember was finished with her singing carrer... for good.
  • Ember is one of my favorite villains, and this episode was cleverly plotted with enough DxS moments to drive me crazy. I loved it!

    "Perfect"
This was the one and only episode I watched little by little, and I only did it because, at the time, I didn't like Danny Phantom. I don't know why, but I just didn't. As soon as I watched this entire episode, my attitude changed. I had to see the rest of the DP episodes. If I didn't, I wasn't sure what would happen to me.

So basically, Ember places a love spell on Danny and causes him to fall in love with Sam. I find this amusing, because although we had seen Ember turn the knob on her guitar, I only think that her spell magnified their feelings for each other. I think that although Sam kept pushing Danny away, deep down, she wanted him to act like that in real life. You could see it in the way she had admitted that she did like the way he had been acting lovesick around her. I hated how Sam had to kiss Dash to break Ember's hold on Danny. It made me go crazy and scream that they weren't meant for each other and Danny and Sam were meant for each other, and Dash was a disgusting jerk (no offense to anyone when I said that) yada yada yada. I'll admit, I do that alot. Scream at the TV, I mean.

Before Ember's spell had been casted, everyone had been joking that Danny and Sam were lovebirds. I liked how they always chorused their responses together, and how they would blush everytime they were near each other after that. Heck, even Mr. Lancer thought they were meant for each other. Well, he never said it, but it was obvious. When Sam and Danny were flying in the sky, she had been staring at him with her dazed 'I'm in love with you' expression. It was funny becasue when he asked her what was wrong, she said that the view was nice, and he ended up blushing. The view was definitely nice because she had been looking at him. It's similar to how guys are when they're looking at sunsets or at the stars, and when the girl comments on how beautiful it is, he looks at her and agrees.

Okay, this is by far the longest review I've ever written. I have got to stop now. I'd say more, but then I'd be babbling. so to summarize it all: Sam is totally in love with Danny, and he feels the same way for her... Don't you love DXS moments? I know I say that in every review, but I love saying it. Go DXS moments!

This exactly why I watch this series! Even though I never liked the idea of Danny and Sam together, the romance between the two was very cute. I especially loved the look on Danny's face after Sam kissed Dash. It was one of the looks where you just want to jump in the tv and hug him (but I feel that way all the time) no matter how much you hate the character (but I love Danny). Another reason I like this show is Ember's song. It gave hints to how she died. For many ghosts in this show it is hard to tell but this tells her story.
  • OMG I love this!

This episode was awesome! I loved the scenes where Sam gave Danny the lovey-eyes! :) (When they're flying and at the Ember concert) This episode shows how much Sam loved Danny and it was soooo sweet! Aw, I loved the hug at the end. Plus, Tucker even noticed! "Remember" is a really cool song, too, and there were a lot of lines I liked, especially:

Sam: Danny, that was AWESOME! *hugs and pulls away, blushing* I guess...Ember's spell hasn't quite worn off?

Tucker: You were never under Ember's spell...

And Sam didn't deny it! :D This episode was pure awesome! The animation at the flying scene was terrific and I loved it!

So basically this ghost named Amber(or Ember whatever) comes to turn the world into her slaves with music or something and makes Danny lovesick with Sam(insert girly squeel). So Danny is basically in capable of fighting ghosts in this condition. So in the final fight when Amber is going to take over the world, Sam kisses this other guy to break Danny's heart and make him fight. It works, and he beats Amber(Ember whatever). But in the end Sam and Danny have thier little moment together(which Tucker inevitably ruins). But who cares? Danny and Sam forever! This is my review, sorry if it was confusing because I just thought this was a great episode.
  • Danny's feelings toward Sam are forced to love when Ember puts Danny under a spell.

    "Perfect"
This is probably my favorite episode from season 1. Ever since Parental Bonding, I have been a D/S shipper so it was wonderful to see Danny in love with Sam. I liked the part where Sam is knocking on Danny's window and he makes the reference to this being exactly like Romeo and Juliet. I also liked it when Sam tells Danny to 'open up' and he thinks she means to tell her his secrets and feelings and stuff like that. This episode was spectacular for all D/S fans because it allows us to see the true feelings Sam has for Danny and it allows us to see what it would be like if Sam and Danny were to get together and become boyfriend and girlfriend.
  • I love this episode

This was the very first episode of DP I ever watched, and it's what got me into the show. I looove the D/S and Ember is a really cool villian. This was the episode that really kicked off danny and sam. When I first saw this episode i thought the show was really cool, so this epi will always have a spot in my heart. Anyways, it was well written and the Danny being in the love spell was a pretty good idea. I hope they make another episode sort of like this (with d/s) but have a little bit better action
  • I love this episode!

The reason why i say Series Classic is because this is the episode that gor me hooked on Danny Phantom. I remember every word from this episode. And you can't forget the DXS moment. I think thats what got me hooked on the show, and thank god cause I remember when i saw the first commersial i was like "it's not going to last". So ever since this episode i've been a DXS shipper and i don't think that's ever going to change. And also this the episode where sam basically see says that she wouldn't mind going out with Danny. * Stef aka Kpfan72491 *
  • great episode

    "Great"
first of all, i would like to go on record saying that i am NOT a fan of danny phantom, and i would not like to be known as such. but this episode outshines the series. besides the revealing scenes between sam and danny (which "fan the flames" between the two), the kind of love scenes which i adore in any show, ember is a great character. i can see why the song she sings is so hypnotizing to people, because i love it. i might even get it on my ipod if i could (by the way, the full song can be heard on the creator busch hartman's website, if you're interested)because i cant listen to it enough. it's just a great song, ember is a great character, and this is one of the few, if the only, great episodes of danny phantom. ember's song is cartoon genius.
  • I LOVED THIS EPISODE! IT WAS THE BEST EPISODE EVER!

This episode was so cute! Danny gets put under a love spell and falls in love with Sam! It was like dream come true for me ( if you don't know that I'm a fan of Danny and Sam, now you do). I always watch this episode when it is on and if you haven't seen it then you should because it is a classic and to me it will never get old. I believe you can watch this on youtube.com so watch it there if you can. I repeat this... I LOVED THIS EPISODE!!! There,I said it. This episode officially ROCKS!

I like this episode! It is not like this is my favorite or somehing, but I can watch it several times and don't get bored:) First I liked Ember's song "Remember" very much. Its real version is really cool! And I like Ember at all, she's not my favorite character, but she's cool too. Another thing I liked it this epie - lots of D/S moments:) It was so cute, when they held each others hands... I like that part! Plus this epie was exciting and interesting to watch! The story line was going good. So great epie, good storyline - cool!
  • One of the series best episodes.

Flanning the flames is one of the best Danny Phantom episodes ever made. It brought about one of the best and most popular enemies of Danny Phantom, Ember, and also brought to Danny and Sam's minds the question about how they may feel about each other. Although Danny's feelings were though the hypnosis of Ember's guitar it did put to Sam's mind about how she may feel about Danny and even after the spell was broken, Danny's heart was still broken so it still showed that perhaps there may still be something between the two that they aren't sure of.
  • While fighting a music control freak,Danny and Sam are forced in love!Fortunantly,Sam has on Fenton Phones, which block out ghostly noise,so shes not affected. So,while Danny goes all goegly-eyed over Sam,its up to Sam to stop her from becoming all-powerful

This is one of my absolute favorite Danny Phantom episodes!!!I think its nice to see how Sam and Danny are as a couple. But,as Tucker said,"But youre not under the spell!!"Meaning Sam definently likes Danny, but she cant worry about that!!She has to stop the world form shouting Ember's name!!!But,personally,I think Ember is cool!!!Except

in Ultimate Enemy when she's all fat and ugly, there is

    NOTHING cool about that!!Haha:P
  • A new ghost called Ember who is trying to take over the world with her music. In order to get Danny Phantom out of the way she makes him fall in love with Sam.If you like D/S pairing you'll probably like if not love this episode.

Danny discovers that the new rock star Ember is really a ghost using her music to control people(Tucker included).People keep calling Danny and Sam a couple and both of them are getting sick of it.Although they have been blushing a lot when they hang out.Ember's song is getting teenagers across the country to rebel against their parents and teachers.Danny and Sam go to stop Ember before her world wide concert.Danny fights Ember and discovers the more people chant her name the stronger she gets. She than beats Danny and decieds to get him out of the way by cast a love spell on Sam and himself.Sam remains unaffected Danny falls madly in love with her.He is so much in love with her that he doesn't even care about stoping Ember anymore.Sam gets Tucker's help(the spell was broken on him by planting him in a learning device) to break the spell on Danny.Since they don't have time to hook Danny up to the device the trio go and try to stop the concert from happening.Ember catches them and holds them prisoner, while she plays her song making everyone in the world chant her name, giving her enough power to take over the world.Danny still won't do anything to stop her because of the spell.Sam kisses Dash in order to brake Danny's heart and the spell, which works but the half-ghost is heart broken and angry.Danny does battle with the pop star and once again starts losing to her again. He comes up with a plan to stop her by getting Tucker to sing.Tucker's singing is so bad that Ember's spell on the world is broken and they stop chanting her name. With out her power-up Danny captures her in the Fenton Thermous. The day is saved but the students of Casper High have to study for a state re-take test which they bombed due to Ember.

It really is a good episode, while it is over rated by some people.Danny gets a new villain Ember is different from all the other female villains. She is more hands on unlike Spectra, more vicous and evil than the Lunch Lady.We finally find out that Sam actually does have feelings for Danny as she admitted that she did like the idea of being with Danny. All in All a nice episode but it can be over rated by some.
  • Yay!! D/S episode!! Def. on my top 6 list of Danny Phantom episodes!!

A pop star ghost named Ember is rocking her way through Amity Park. Causing teen rebellion. What makes her stonger is the chanting of her name. When her concert goes global, she\\\'ll be unstoppable. The only thing that she needs to do is get Danny out of the way. So she cast a musical spell on Danny to make him fall in love with Sam. Nothing like hormones to distract a 14 year old superhero. To break the spell, Sam has to break Danny\\\'s heart, and her own, so she does so by lip-locking with Dash Baxter...Danny\\\'s own personal bully.
  • Another d|s eppy! i love it!

    "Perfect"
d|s! yes! another one of those shows. This is one of the most revealing episodes ever!

it starts in the ghost zone, with Danny being attacked by a ghost who wants to be his friend. Danny manages to escape by throwing the ghost into a refridgerator. he goes back into the spectra speeder (sorry if i spelled it wrong) and sits down next to Tucker and Sam. Danny\'s hands are cold, so sam warms them up by holding them. Then they have a moment where they blush, and just before they take their hands away, Tucker starts singing (badly) to an Ember song. After that, Danny and Sam look at each other again and take their hands away. I love this part of the show! :)

Some people think this is a gr8 d\\s eppy only because of Ember\'s song, but i see more TRUE love in this eppy. Like, the part that revealed the most was when Danny And Sam were flying above Amity Park. The way Sam looked at Danny! Totally cute! Danny: \"Are you ok Sam?

Sam: \"Oh, yeah, just nice being up here, flying, you know?\" (blushing)

Then, after a minute, Danny himself blushes. That\'s one of the best d|s moments ever.

THis eppy definitley gets my vote for 10|10. One of the greatest shows ever! And that part when Danny is affected by the love spell, when hes sitting on his bed Meditating! \"Samm. Samm\" lol! if you haven\'t watched this eppy yet, then watch it! You\'ll luv it!

  • This is my all time favorite episode!! Just the best!

Okay... 100 words min, what could i write? well, this episode is just the best! (like i said at above) it shows that sam really likes danny even though sam is not under the spell. the part where sam says "u don't really feel that way about me and i don't feel that way about u" and danny says "so why are u still holding my hands?" and its so funny when danny said "wow, i never realize you look so pretty when you're about to fall of a building" haha i just like it.

i was wondering if there's a full version of ember's song. the .. *emberrr.. u will rememberrr my name* thing, i mean song. its pretty good. well .. nothing more to say now, this episode is just so good. i hope there will be more episode about danny and sam's relationship. just keep up the great work mr. butch hartman!!! danny phantom ROCKS!!
  • This one is probably my favorite episode.

    "Great"
I love this episode mainly because of Ember.

About how somebody said that she's a reference to Gene Simmons of KISS (I'm a big KISS fan), she isn't really. The only similarity (of her appearance), is the long tounge, and boots. The person said that she was a reference to Gene Simmons because of her face paint and long tounge. Her face paint is actaully almost completley different from his. She only has two streaks of black eyeliner, but Gene Simmons had almost his entire face covered with black face paint.

Another thing is, about the song. I swear, I have heard those beginning chords somewhere before.. I just can't put my finger on it..

I love ember and her song. (even if you don't hear the whole song go on the Butch offical website and lisen there) It was a really cool episode and Danny and Sam were like in LOVE. Danny couldn't take his eyes off Sam and he thought Sam likes him. I can't believe that Ember had Danny under a love spell. I think that it would be really funny if The spell worked and both of them loved each other..... lol. This episode is a Danny and Sam episode and it is really cool! All in all this is a really cool show.

This episode is one of the ones that first brought be into the Danny Phantom series and led me to becoming a totally obsessed fanatic. This episode builds up the relationship between Danny and San when Ember makes Danny love Sam (or just makes him show his feelings) I particularly enjoyed the part were Sam has just kissed Dash and Danny heartbroken and then he just gets furious and kicks Embers butt!!!

This episode was a real ground breaker and a really exiting and enjoyable plot as well as Ember who is a very original character in herself.

Overall this is a great episode with a great plot and is definately a ground breaker

Wow... what can I say? Only that this was the best episode of Danny Phantom yet! It was also the first episode I ever saw of Danny Phantom. I got hooked on the DxS fluffness. So I kept watching and watching and now it's my favorite show!

I loved Ember, too. I think she is the coolest villain. I would like to meet her someday (hehe..never gonna happen)! I absolutely LOVED the spell that she put on Danny. It showed all Danny and Sam's true feelings for each other.

Tucker: It's about time! I always knew you two would end up together.

Sam: WE'RE NOT TOGETHER! Ember put him under a spell.

Tucker: So you don't wanna end up together?

Sam: I don't know.. maybe! But not like this!

    ^^ ahhh loved it.

The part that really got me was when Sam broke the spell by kissing Dash. That was so sad. I felt so bad for Danny. They really did love each other.

And I think they still do. ^_~
  • Wow this was a show that showed how it would kind OF be if Danny and Sam were together.

When a ghost comes to Amity high she brain washes everyone into liking her music except Danny, because of his ghost powers and Sam, because she is wearing the fenton phones. Then Ember, the ghost, makes danny fall in love with Sam but Sam isn\'t affected because of the fenton phones. Sam breaks the spell by kissing Dash. Danny breaks the spell on everyone else by having Tucker singing Ember\'s song. But a wonderful episode!

This is one of the best episodes of Danny Phantom I\'ve seen. It is right up there with The Ultimate Enemy and Maternal Instincts for me. This is a very revealing episode that has a great fight in the end and a hilarious ending that will leave you in stitches. The way Butch Hartman made Ember almost win was absoloutly wonderful. We got a look at how a relationship between Sam and Danny would be. Yes, some say it was a little creepy on how he was chanting the words \"Sam. Sam.\" while meditating, but I thought it was actually cute.

This is a incredible acomplishment that Butch Hartman should be proud of.

This is a great episode in every way. I gave it a nine point nine for two reasons one I felt like it and two if I told you the reason why I wouldn't have to think of as many words to describe this episode. Now as far as villains go ember is pretty good, I mean she is one of them that has the whole take over the world plot. Not only that she gets her power from people chanting her name and that is pretty creative. To top it all off she actually managed to get powerful enough to be able to actually take over the world.
  • A ghost music star named Ember appears and becomes a huge hit, with the power to control the emotions of teens.

    10
    "Perfect"
Ember, a music star, appears out of nowhere and becomes the biggest thing since MP3’s. Only Danny and Sam aren’t excited over her, and Danny discovers it’s because she’s a ghost who can control teen emotions who grows stronger the more popular she gets! Attempting to keep Danny distracted while she prepares for a worldwide concert, Ember puts him under a spell, causing him to fall head-over-heels in love with Sam!

Considering what the general plot was going to be about, I had a good feeling it was going to be a good episode, considering that I had become a D/S fan after the events of SoG.

When it was over, I knew that it wasn't good. IT WAS SPECTACULAR!! A truly remarkable episode from start to finish, IMO.

Not everyone enjoyed it, though. A lot found it great, but others found it too silly and cartoonish. For me, very little I was put off by, with just a little too much blushing. But it was mostly pretty cute, and I enjoyed all the other types of D/S romance throughout the episode: the hand-holding, the “lovebirds” comments, flying over the city, and even Sam’s cry of, “Get away from him!”

Things turned from sweet to funny after Danny was put under Ember’s spell. I was laughing pretty hard in the scene where he has a whole bunch of Sam’s stuff, including pictures, notes, and…and this really had me laughing hard…gum and hair. Oh, boy. I’m pretty sure Ember was my favorite villain as of this time in the series.

Just seeing the awkward feelings that Danny and Sam were getting even before they were under Ember's spell since the fake-out make-out was so cool to see. And they're still in denial with each other! I'm telling you, there are definately relationship possibilites between the two, and it should become more obvious with time.

Tucker...I had a good feeling Ember's spell would be effecting him, since he isn't very trustworthy sometimes. The way he talked after the Cram Tastic was really funny. ("Electrical power equals electrical current times electrical potential!") The fact that he is a REALLY bad singer was REALLY funny.

Jazz...Putting her under the spell may have been a little pushy, but it looked like Ember's spell was strong enough to get even her. Even though I was a tiny bit put off at her sneaking out and apparently enjoying her in a fight with her brother at the concert.

Lancer...I felt he was pretty much IC. He has shown before to care a little more to care about himself, installing the Cram Tastic to raise his bonus possibilites. It was also cool to see him acting freaked out when the students ran him over and Danny and Sam phasing out of his hands.

Ember...I got to give props to her, even if she is evil. She had an awesome appearance and an awesome song, IMO. She is also pretty smart as well, and a very cool way of gaining her power. As for the former, she definitely recognized that Danny was a threat to her, so she was smart in the way of keeping him busy.

Maybe my favorite part besides Danny and Sam flying to the music store was the way Danny's reaction was after he found out he was under Ember's spell right after Sam kissed Dash. I felt pretty sorry for him, you know, how sad he looked. But he looked awesome when I saw how angry he was at Ember for what happened. Just the way he hissed, "Ember..." showed he was extremely ticked off, and the transformation afterwards looked pretty cool.

The hug at the end had me grin for maybe the umpteenth time of the episode. Looks like the sparks haven't gone away, huh? That's also apparant in FN, LiL, and CF. Considering the way the D/S stuff is unfolding, there are big future plans as we progress in episodes.

The sole thing I didn't like at all was Klemper at the beginning. He was a poor parody to the Box Ghost, which, IMO, is pretty dumb anyway. But I still find BG to be funny, but not Klemper. But the way he chanted Ember's name at the end was funny.

Overall, the best one so far! I'm a fan of the D/S stuff, and I hope to see more in the future. 10.3/10!

    This episode was one of my favorites. The story was perfect, and had some of the funniest lines in the show. Some of my favorites were;

    Sam- Danny, open up!

Danny-Okay, open up… when I was five, I really wanted a puppy, but my parents said….

Danny & Sam- WE’RE NOT LOVEBIRDS!!!

Sam- I know that look. That’s the same longing puppy dog stare you give Paulina.

    Danny-Who’s Paulina?

Sam- That’s a pleasant side effect.

I love Klemper. He is one of my favorite characters. Ember’s song is awesome, I love it. All in all, the show needs more episodes like this one.

The episode begins with Danny, Sam, and Tucker all in the Ghost Zone, Tucker and Sam, of course, in the Specter Speeder. Apparently they were trying to map it out. Sam and Tucker are both wearing these weird green headphone-like things that are supposed to block out spectral noise so they can communicate with each other (Sam thinks they make "great techno Goth earrings"), but Tucker ends up using his to listen to a song by "Ember." This annoying ghost named Klemper won't let go of Danny, because he insists on being Danny's friend. Danny manages to trick Klemper into entering one of the many floating doors in the Ghost Zone (in this case a refrigerator door), then closes the door and removes the handle, keeping Klemper inside. Klemper, now in a place covered with snow, spots a penguin and asks if it will be his friend, but it just walks off.

Back in the Ghost Zone, Danny enters the Specter Speeder and turns to normal, while Tucker is still listening (and singing along to) the song. Danny's hands are cold, so Sam holds them to heat them up. This results in a rather uncomfortable moment where the two blush at each other, then let go quickly. The Specter Speeder leaves the Ghost Zone with the music still playing, and one of the older ghosts in it wonders "What on Earth is that ghostly wail?"

After the theme song, it cuts to the high school. Tucker is STILL listening to that same song while also wearing an Ember hat and T-shirt. Danny says he doesn't understand how this Ember McLane came out of nowhere and instantly became so popular. Tucker insists that Ember isn't just about music, that she's an expression of his unique individuality. Then the three turn the corner and we see Ember stuff EVERYWHERE (so much for "individuality"), and we finally see what Ember actually looks like.

Paulina, who of course is also wearing Ember clothes, notices Sam's "earrings" and disdainfully asks if she got them from a sale at the 89 cent store. Sam says she got them from Danny, and Paulina, being her usual obnoxious self, says that "He gave you earrings? I always knew you two losers would always end up together." This causes both Danny and Sam to protest that they're not losers and they're not together. Tucker, of course, then starts singing along to the song he's listening to, and both Sam and Danny tell him to keep it down. Dash and some other popular kid notice this and comment on the "two lovebirds ganging up on Foley", causing both Sam and Danny to scream out "We're not lovebirds!"

Later, in the class, Mr. Lancer is talking about how there's some "Northwestern 9" test coming up. Since his bonus is based on their grades, he's installed the "Cramtastic Mark 5", which is basically 3 screens in front of you that you're supposed to watch while wearing this cap with wires sticking out of it and connecting with them. Mr. Lancer turns it on, but instead of anything educational appearing on the screens, it's an Ember music video. Everyone except Danny and Sam are thrilled by this, but Mr. Lancer turns the Cramtastic Mark 5 off and pulls out an Ember CD that somehow got into it. However, THEN they all hear music coming from outside. It turns out it's actually Ember herself (with what's presumably the rest of her band) on a stage.

Everyone rushes outside. Ember asks them all who they love, and they all chant "Ember!," causing her light blue fire-like hair to grow larger. It should be noted that while this occurs several times in the episode, the increase in size is only temporary. Anyway, Danny and Sam seem to be the only ones not mindlessly entertained by her. Danny's ghost sense then acts up, and he tries to see where the ghost is. Mr. Lancer then climbs onto a fire hydrant and through a loudspeaker orders Ember to "cease and desist." In response, Ember changes what one of the dials on her guitar is pointing to and unleashes some purple music wave that hypnotizes some of the students, who all then attack Mr. Lancer. Danny then realizes that Ember's the ghost. Danny turns into his ghost form to save Mr. Lancer from the hypnotized students, and is then about to attack Ember, but she's disappeared (along with the stage and her band).

Later, in the school, Danny notices Tucker is now wearing an Ember wig, and says that he's starting to scare him. Tucker claims it's "Just an Ember thing." Sam responds "You do know she's an evil mind-controlling spirit from another dimension?" Tucker says "Yeah, but you said the same thing about Paulina." Of course, then Paulina announces to the school that Ember's giving away free concert tickets at Bucky's Music Mega Store. Everyone (with the exception of Sam and Danny) all rush towards the exit. Mr. Lancer tries to block the exit, but they trample him and rush out the school.

Tucker tries to follow them, but Danny and Sam pull him back and decide to "deprogram" him. In other words, tie him up and force him to go through the Cramtastic Mark 5. Danny and Sam leave him there, and Danny wonders why they're the only kids unaffected by Ember's hypnosis. Sam says that Danny's not affected because of his ghost powers, but they don't really know why Sam isn't affected (she throws out the idea of "utter disdain for anything popular," but we can tell that's not the real reason). Danny gets the Fenton Thermos from his locker, but Mr. Lancer then sees them and says that "You too lovebirds may be the only students left in the entire school, but that's not going to stop me from giving you an education", causing Danny and Sam to once again scream "We're not lovebirds!" Mr. Lancer starts to drag them off, but Danny grabs Sam and uses his powers to slip out of Mr. Lancer's hands and through the walls. They're both flying through the air to get to Bucky's Music Mega Store when they both crash into an Ember billboard on the roof of Bucky's Music Mega Store.

Meanwhile, in the store, Ember appears on a balcony, which causes everyone to cheer. She throws tickets to the crowd, and asks them to "Tell me who you love!", causing them to start chanting "Ember!" again, making her flame-like hair grow larger again. Danny and Sam then manage to get in. Sam distracts the crowd by disfiguring one of Ember's billboards. Ember's about to attack her, but Danny attacks Ember first. Danny's about to open the thermos and hopefully suck Ember into it, but she hits Danny with a blast from her guitar first, causing him to drop the thermos, and disappears. Danny follows her onto the roof and the two fight. The crowd outside chants "Ember!," again causing her hair to burn stronger, and Danny realizes that the chanting makes her stronger. Ember, extremely strong due to the chanting, knocks Danny into the Ember billboard, causing it to fall over. The hit also cancels out Danny's powers. Ember says that since the whole world will be watching her concert that night, everyone will be chanting her name and she'll be unstoppable.

Sam, who grabbed the thermos, gets up to the roof, presumably to give it to Danny. Ember, however, says she needs to keep the two of them distracted, and "nothing distracts teenagers more than hormones." With the crowd chanting her name, she's powerful enough to make her music affect them. She changes one of the dials on her guitar so it points towards a heart, then blasts the two of them with a music wave. This blasts Sam to the part of the Ember billboard that's currently teetering over the street. Ember leaves, and Danny is now ensnared by her spell. Now completely in love with Sam, he starts to walk across the billboard to her. Sam realizes that Danny's under Ember's spell (though Sam is unaffected by it). Of course, Danny's weight on the teetering side of the billboard causes it to teeter downwards, and Sam slides off. She's caught by some member of the SWAT team that showed up; Mr. Lancer apparently used the "Emergency Mass Grounding Act" to send the SWAT team to grab all the students and send them home to await parental punishment.

Danny and Jazz are both thrown into their house by members of the SWAT team. Their parents are mad at them for not studying for the Northwestern 9 test. They ground the two, but Jazz (under Ember's spell) sneaks out to get to the concert, along with all the other kids. Danny, meanwhile, is still completely in love with Sam and is in his room surrounded by pictures of her (not to mention some snippet of her hair he somehow got). Sam comes into his room through the window and tells them they need to stop the concert before Ember takes over the world... and then notices all the pictures and gets a bit creeped out. Danny, still under Ember's spell, tells her it doesn't matter as long as they have each other. Sam gets mad at Danny and tells him they're not actually in love, and Danny asks her why she's still wearing the "earrings" he got her if that's true. Sam points out that they're not earrings, they just filter out ghost noise... which makes her realize that the reason she hasn't been affected at all by Ember's music is because she's been wearing them the whole time. Then, when Danny makes another comment about love, she says they'll have to deprogram him like they did Tucker, which suddenly makes her remember that they didn't free Tucker from the deprogramming.

They get over to the school and find Tucker STILL being forced to go through the standardized test prep (it's been 12 full hours, according to him). Tucker, upon finding out what's going on, suggests deprogramming Danny for 12 hours, but that's not going to work because they actually only have 15 minutes before the concert begins. The three then sneak into the control room of the concert using Danny's ghost powers. Tucker tries to turn off the power to stop the concert, but instead just turns on the PA System and blurts out a random fact about electricity (an apparent side effect of being deprogrammed for 12 hours). This, of course, alerts Ember to their presence, and she has some of the hypnotized kids (Dash and two other of the other "popular" boys) grab hold of Danny, Sam, and Tucker to prevent them from interfering with the concert. Sam tries to get Danny to use his ghost powers to escape and stop Ember. However, Danny, still madly in love with Sam, doesn't want to leave her to stop Ember.

Meanwhile, Ember appears on the concert stage and (again) asks the audience to tell her who they love, which AGAIN causes them to start chanting her name. Yet again, this makes her fire-like hair burn even more strongly. With the concert now being broadcast to the entire world, Ember starts singing, hypnotizing everyone watching it and making them chant her name.

Back to Sam, Danny, and Tucker. Sam, desperate to snap Danny out of Ember's spell, actually kisses Dash. Sam and Dash are both totally disgusted by this. However, this sight snaps Danny out of his trance, although making him feel "like his heart has been ripped out." Danny takes out his anger on Ember, interrupting the concert. Ember, however, extremely strong due to all the energy she's receiving, blasts Danny away. She's about to start singing again when Danny gets back to the stage and grabs the microphone away from her. The two battle, but Ember seals Danny in a force field. Danny, in an effort to stop the crowd from chanting (which as we know is where Ember's getting her power from), throws Tucker the microphone and tells him to start singing. Tucker, of course, is such a horrible singer that his singing actually brings the world out of their trance and stops their chanting. This takes away all of Ember's power and frees Danny from the forcefield. Ember desperately screams at the crowd to say her name, but they just stare dumbly. Danny then sucks her into the Fenton Thermos. After that, the rest of Ember's band, which were presumably also ghosts, all disappear.

Later, at school, Mr. Lancer tells the class that the standardized test scores are the worst in school history, but that Tucker's perfect score brought the entire school's average up. Everyone except Tucker has to go through the afternoon Cramtastic session. Sam asks Danny if there's any chance he could release Ember to get them out of it. Danny says no, and that Ember's a little busy right now.

Meanwhile, in the Ghost Zone, Ember is stuck with Klemper in that same snow-covered place. Klemper keeps shouting "Ember!" over and over, and Ember finally screams at him to "Stop saying my name!"
