  • Danny with Valerie? don't make me gag! ( seriously! )

Who the CRAP wrote or thought of this episode? i ran into the bath room when Danny and Val were on the ferris wheel! i'm not joking... i could see a little ( or a lot ) of jelousy when Danny and Valerie were together. anyway, Jack gives Danny the ring that he was going to give to Valerie. what if that happened?

Valerie: um, Danny? why is "Sam" engraved on this ring?

Danny: yeah ... ummm, my dad engraved it...

That would be weird. i'm glad that didn't happen and it reappeared in the series finale for the fact that it was actually made for Sam and not Valerie.
  • Pretty cool

Pretty darn good episode, I can't get over how much better Technus' new form looks compared to his rubbish old one. Honstly he looked really wierd.

Anyway, the whole Danny and Valerie thing is thought of as being wierd and unexpected. I don't find it wierd in particular, at that age your kinda nuts so you do things that you don't particularly mean. I do that alot now and always have done but still. Danny has a cool battle with Technus in space and the fights with Valerie are quite interesting and exiting.

Overall this episode isn't terrible but it's not exactly top notch either.
  • other crazy epi of the show

ok ... the show have a lot of crazy and mad episodes but the for me one of the most crazy one . really come on you can belive that valeri and danny having a date ok that killed me were is sam and danny for ever that stuff rules. well the ting is that valeri got a new powerfull combat dress and is better thatn the last one , really strong and cool , i want one of does stuff and her armor were so pretty.

well the thing is that the nerd ghost named thecnus os something like that ...actually i don't now his name i allway forget it i do't now way, whatever that ghost want the control of the all computer and machine of the world, nothing new actually he always try to do the samething.i have to say that danny and valeri did a gret job because they kicked that a--- of that nerd ghost.the episode was good but for me is one of the cresy and the king of crazy epi i had see in the this show.and remember danny and sam for ever .
  • Valerie comes after Danny Phantom harder than ever.

It was awesome to see Sam getting so jealous she had to spy on Danny and Valerie. I loved it when Technus said:

"I wonder who'll miss you more; the angry ghost hunter or the frustrated little goth girl who can't admit her feelings!"

Lol! Even the ghosts can work out why Danny's so clueless! The fight between Valerie and her suit/Technus was cool and I'm glad she said she liked Danny "maybe even enough to give up ghost hunting." She was only breaking up with him to protect him. Danny should have been the one to break up with her. Either way, emotional episode, awesome fighting, phantastic animation, and proof Danny needs to notice Sam's feelings and Sam needs to get out of denial.
  • Danny and Valerie pursue their interest in each other, but can two ghost hunters make a relationship work?

This isn't one of my favorite episodes, but I still enjoyed it. As I've said before, I can't stand Technus; that's one reason why I don't like this episode. I do like Valerie's new ghost hunting suit though. It looks a lot better than the one she had before it was destroyed. My favorite parts include: Valerie's dad telling Danny he looks nervous (because he noticed Vlad's picture above him, lol), Valerie fighting her suit (with Technus controlling it), Technus asking Danny who would miss him most, and when Danny says 'oh darn it' when Valerie and her dad discover him in the lab with the jet pack.
  • Danny starts dating Valerie and has feelings for her, Sam is real jealous!

it starts out with Valerie, Star, Sam and Tucker at the mall/ food court, not together of cousre. Star-where's ur loser-boyfriend Danny?

    Valerie/Sam-he's not her/my boyfriend! and he's not a loser!

Valerie asks where he is the second he crashes on the table. Danny is figting with Technus. Valerie's dad took her ghost-stuff, so she can't fight.

Technus blast at her, which get Danny mad.^_^

Danny-i am gonna break u in half!

Technus just says emotion get people hurt without knowing. then he goes in Valerie's phone. Valerie doesn't notice since Danny Fenton comes in.

    ...

anway,Class trip to lab, Techus wants to use super computer, he takes over Valerie's battle suit,i think Vlad's in charge, Valerie's dad blames her.they have a small fight over it then Valerie gets an email from Danny, really Technus. Danny is online with Sam and Tucker and Sam belives the suit was really Valerie. Tucker's PDA goes wookie when Valerie emails Danny back. Danny spends the night talking to Valerie, finding out all kinds of stuff about each other. Sam and Tucker don't like the realtionship, mostly Sam. Star still thinks Danny is a freak but Valerie doesn't care.

Sam is real jealous when the start dating, so she spies on them. Techus pushes them together while trying to crack the code to the big computer.

While Danny and Valerie are stuck at the top of a Ferris Wheel the lights spell out DF+VG.

Sam-of coruse the Ferris wheel stops there! why wouldn't it!? can u stop that?

Tucker's PDA is still messed up, they figure out it's Technus pushing Danny with Valerie. Sam wants to tell Danny, Tucker says he'll laff at that. he does.

    Tucker-do u think the universe want u 2 together?

    Danny-well, i don't know, i might.

Valerie hears that part, Sam sees her and says, with great pain-

Sam- we just want you to be happy, if u like her, we'll make room for her at are table -her eye twitches-

Danny goes to find Valerie, Valerie goes to hug Sam, who is so not hapy about it.

Danny doesn't see them cause he's attacked by Valerie's suit.

Danny-u were pushing me and Valerie together!

    Technus-ur welcome!

Danny wants to change, but camera are watching.

Technus- Gee, i wonder who'll miss u more, the angry ghost hunter or the fustrated little goth girl who can't admit her feelings?

    Danny-what are u-

Technus-oh well, nothing u need to worry about now.

Valerie saves Danny, while he leaves, or goes ghost- bigh cool fight scene with Valerie vs Suit then cool fight scene with Danny vs Suit. Danny blast Suit and stupidly, Valerie think he wanted to kill her.

Valerie shows her father the video and he belives her but is happier with the Suit gone.

Sam and Tucker figure out everything about Technus but Danny is worried about how he can never tell Valerie about he's Danny Phantom. before anything else, Javk comes in.

Jack- hey Danny, word on the street is u got urself a girlfriend! can u 2 leave so i can give a totally akward father/son chat?

they leaves, duh, Danny and Daddy have ice cream.

Danny- does it have to be akward?

Jack- yep, i'm gonna give u fatherly addvice then say somethng u'll fling out the room embrassed!

    Danny- check, addvice first?

Jack kind sad- fine, if u really like this girl u should give her this-

    a class ring

    Danny- a class ring?

Jack- yep, this ring says "u could be the girl i fight ghost with" well, it did with ur mom, i don't know about u.

Danny- u'd be surpised. strangly Jack knows about Danny+ Sam cause the ring was ingraved Sam, Clueless.

Danny, Sam and Tucker go to the lab. they use the Fenton Fones to stay in-touch. danny asks Sam to hold the ring, Clueless, which upsidedown says Wes , the A's written speaci.

Danny watchs Valerie and her dad with a Father/daugther moment. Valerie says she likes Dany enough to give up ghost hunting. Sam calls Danny clueless, which Valerie and her dad hear.

Danny- why am i called Clueless.1?

    Tucker- tell him!

    Sam- shut it!

Stupdily, Valerie and her dad think Danny's the ghost causing the computer probelms. Technus creates Valerie a new suit ,which is waaaaaaaaaaay to0 much, while Danny goes in Space to stop Technus. Danny uses some equiment to breathe in space, which makes him real happy,

    Hey, i'm an astronaut!

Technus has starting attacking the world with his new stalite.Valerie uses her suit to attack Danny, he attacks back which knocks her out. Danny blames himself and takes it out on Technus. Technus gone, Danny gets a ride back with Valerie, without her knowing.

Danny still wants to gove Valerie his ring, Clueless, but without knowing about it Valerie says it's too complictaed to have a realtionship-

she wants to protect Fenton by killing Phantom

-Valeries kisses him on the cheek but Danny is stil upset. Danny asks Sam to take the ring and she says Clueless. 2 other girls talk to Tucker about the break up, and one girl with brown, usally red, asks if he likes brenettes.

Valerie is sad about not being with Danny but rides off.

i like Danny+Valerie's realtionship but belive in Sam+ Danny's more, no matter how Clueless he is.
  • This episode was very well done. Except i didn't like the D/V

    9.5
    "Superb"
This episode was very well done.

Even though i did not like the D/V i think they did a good job with it. Before this episode aired i was not happy at all. I reallly wanted sam and danny (and still do) to get together, so when i saw the preview I was freaking out. But there was more d/s in it then d/v. The d/s was much more suttle and i loved the "Sam" ring. I also was very suprised that Danny was actually that clueless. I also understood why Danny convinced himself that it would be safe for him to become closer with Valerie, and i was happy that she dumped him at the end. Finally, i think Valerie has lost her mind. She knows what Danny could do to her but she's still trying to kill him. I don't like her char because not just for the fact she took a bit away from danny and sam but because she's sooo bitter, she allowed her anger to consume her. This episode just kept my faith going with danny and sam, and i thought it was very well done.
  • Sad Ending, isn't it?

OH MY GOODNESS! What happened to the relationship between Danny and Valerie? I hope that I learned a lesson from this episode that dating a girl needs more attention on interest and its feelings. I hope Danny recovers from the disaster that Technus made on him. Also, never abuse the technology that Technus did on the entire world or you'll end up in a big trouble that happened in this episode. This reminds me of something that you have to ocular inspection your PC for bugs and viruses to prevent a future system failure and cleaning the inside of the computer will minimize heat inside.
  • Ugh! I can't believe this Danny will NEVER EVER be with Valerie EVER! He will be with Sam or I will never watch Danny Phantom again! Just kidding, about the never watching Danny again. I wasn't joking about Valerie though.

    7.9
    "Good"
How could they do this to me? I wanted Danny and Sam to be together, not Danny and Valerie. Is this a joke? Please tell me it did not happen. I just am glad that Valerie rejected him. Not that I wanted Danny's heart broken or anything, I just don't want Valerie and him to be together because he is too good for her and that is FINAL! Nothing anyone does will change my mind. Now, unless the writers find a little eenie weenie loophole to get them tgether there is no possible way they could ever speak to each other again! Okay I'm sorry, I should say something good about this episode. *thinks* Okay, I've got it, this episode was very nice. The End.
  • MWAHAHAHA! Great episode for D/V shippers (like moi).

    9.4
    "Superb"
Well, I'm a D/V shipper in the first place, so of course I'm going to like this episode, but that's not the only reason of course. First of all, I think this is better than almost all of the D/S episodes, since it's not gooey (sure, there's a little, but meh) and since it's not over-done. I always thought that the D/S stuff is WAY, WAY, over-done, and D/V just isn't. Also, this was an interesting plot in the first place, also sort of ironic that Technus would use other people's emotions when he hates them, but hey! Whatever. Though, in retrospect, perhaps it wasn't in Technus's best intrest to give Val that new crazy-powerful suit...after all...she's going to use it against him at some point. Silly Technus. xD
  • WUT?!?THIS ISNT SUPPOST 2 HAPPEN!

ok let me get this straight danny (phantom) and valerie are like mortal enemies but danny (fenton)likes her?!? ok when did this start! its not suppost to be D/V thats just sick (i think im gona throw up! serously!) its D/S! (hold on a secont while i scream!)AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! ok im better. my favorite part was the ending when valerie dumps danny(YEAH!:D)i just wished that Sam wouldve made her move! anyway it was pretty funny, and cute.danny phantom is the BEST show EVER (then Avatar)i cant wait till danny and sam hook up!

Danny, danny, danny. Danny, danny, danny. So talking in Wild N Out style: Danny Fenton has hit on not 1 but 2 Black girls: Paulina(Indian I think because of the accent) and Vallorie. Danny. Just stay with Sam. Please stay with Sam. Please. I'm begging you. Please do..... That is all.
  • What is Butch thinking, and what is the world coming to??? D/V?? No no no no no!!!! It is supposed to be D/S!!! Everyone knows it EXCEPT D and V!! But forgetting that, it is one of my favorite episodes.

    8.5
    "Great"
Technus is trying to take over every computer in the world. It could take a while so he needs to distract both Danny Fenton/Phantom, and Valerie the ghost hunter. So he uses their feelings for each other and Sam's feelings for Danny against them, by trying to push Danny and Valerie together. He does everything he can think of and sadly...(NOT) it doesn't work. In the end Valerie breaks up with Danny by saying her life is too complicated and she doesn't want him to get hurt. As for Sam and Danny...she is still too shy to say anything, and he is too clueless to realize how she feels.
  • Technus posses a super computer in hopes to control every computer in the entire nation. But to do that, he needs to distract Danny and Valerie.

    8.2
    "Great"
I don't care what people say about this episode. This is very well written, even though it's a bit vague to some. This reveals the feelings that Danny has for Valerie and vice versa. For those of you who think that it's silly, it isn't as silly as you think if you understand Technus' character. Technus is the ghost of machines and therefore has characteristics and personality of a machine.

Machines don't feel emotions thus why Technus' despise emotions. He used Valerie and Danny's emotions as a distraction so he can get to the satelite and use the super computer to control the nation's technology.

However, I do see a plot hole in this episode. How did Valerie's dad got back on his feet, after her dad was fired from his job? How did Valerie wound up back with the popular group after they kicked her out? When did Valerie's dad worked for Vlad Masters?

This is why I gave it an average rating. Great episode, except for the plotholes.

And also if you don't understand why they're poking fun at the Danny-Sam shipping it is because that it's a possibility that they may not become a couple and Danny may wind up with either Valerie or Paulina. (It's a guranteed 50/50 folks). That doesn't mean I dislike the Danny/Sam pairing, for I love it. (Although I am more of a Valerie/Danny shipper).

  • Technus is back and he wants to control the satellite in space, but he must keep Danny distracted while he tries to crack the code to get past the firewall. He distracts him by pushing him and Valerie together using technology.

    9.5
    "Superb"
I like Technus's new upgrade. The mullet look seems like the right fit to him. Anyways I loved this episode. Romance, jealousy. Danny and Valerie together? Man, did that make Sam really jealous. Sam: "Oh, I will' (spy on them). 'Of course that's where the ride stops." She had to tell Val that she was okay with them too. Man that's harsh. I thought Sam would think Danny likes her when she held on that ring. I can't believe she read it upside-down as Wes. Danny finally got to fly like an astronaut, how nice man. And how about Val's new suit. I wonder if Technus has some sort of control over it. It might play a role in a new episode. That sounds like a good idea. I liked battling in space, well, watching it.
  • Technus begins to push Danny and Valerie together so he can beam himself to a powerful computer in space.

    10
    "Perfect"
While Technus plans to beam himself to a computer in space to control every computer in the world, he keeps Danny busy by pushing him and Valerie Gray closer together. Tucker and Sam notice the fishiness and try to point it out to Danny, but he laughs it off. He discovers they’re right when Technus shows up to fight him wearing Valerie’s suit. Danny then ends up increasing her hatred of Danny Phantom by destroying it. Concerned at Valerie liking his human half but hating his ghost half, he still wants to go steady with her. Both of them end up at Axion while Technus reaches the computer, with Technus giving Valerie a new-and-improved suit. Danny goes after Technus, and Valerie goes after Danny.

Considering that the three episodes we’ve seen prior to this where Technus was the main villain weren’t that great, I had doubts, coupled with the fact that it was Friday the 13th. I really looked forward to this one. The last episode that was focused on romance was LiL, and that was a very disappointing episode.

First, let me say this. If FWD is only a sample of what we’ll receive of Danny Phantom in 2006, then we are in for one heck of a year!

The opener was very well done. I wasn’t expecting Star and Valerie to actually be friends, and I was a little confused since Star was originally Paulina’s satellite. But I ignored that without much trouble. I enjoyed that the four of them seemed to have a grudge against at least one of them, and especially Sam and Valerie getting up in each other’s face. Tucker was hilarious at that point. *Sighs* I actually hope he’ll find a girl who likes him one of these days. Danny’s fight with Technus there was pretty cool to start things off, and I enjoyed the post-fight words with Danny, Valerie, Sam, and Technus. That helped set the tone as well.

I’m a D/S fan, but I don’t find D/V to be that bad. The musical montage that first appeared in LiL could have definitely thrown things off, but not here. Any romance we saw here was done in a very strictly realistic way. Except for the carnival tickets and the lights, but that was all Technus’s doing, so no problem. I can’t really relate, since I’ve never really had any romantic interaction with anybody. :( But I could still tell it seemed realistic. I never expected Danny to have any romance with someone who was just in the background until the tenth episode, but that’s one reason why I love this show so much. It’s how the writers can put in twists and turns around every corner and keep things interesting.

In a way, this romance works in terms of American Dragon: Jake Long, but this seems far more natural, and not nearly as undeveloped. Valerie definitely doesn’t strike me as overly vengeful and overly cruel. She seems to think what she does is good. She’s a bit misunderstood, but she obviously wants to get rid of evil ghosts as much as Danny does, not merely to get revenge on them for something that was an accident. Oh, and I thought it was AWESOME when she fought with Technus using that branch. Tucker’s quote to go with that was very funny. As for her new suit…unbelievable. It looks so much sharper and more dangerous. I was really in awe.

I had to feel quite a bit of pity for Danny in this episode. His mind was obviously jumbled with complications involving him, Valerie, and Technus, and he seemed very stressed by it. But he found support in Tucker and Sam (extremely grudgingly from her) and stayed focused. That helped him when fighting Technus. I thought the gag with him being clueless was hysterical. I mean, come on! Just about everybody in the UNIVERSE know that Sam really likes Danny…except Danny! It’s really annoying, yet really fun all at the same time.

As for Sam herself, she was wonderful in this episode. I was waiting for signs of jealousy at seeing Danny and Valerie together. There were, but she seemed much more concerned for Danny’s safety, and I actually liked that more. It makes her seem a lot more mature. She seemed willing to allow it, even though she seemed to hate it. That made it really funny, especially when her eye twitched, she muttered when Valerie hugged her, and told Tucker to shut it.

Technus has also grown on me very much since the series began. While I still enjoy the old funny Technus who shouts out his plans and long-winded introduction, I think I prefer this new sinister Technus. His plan of joining Danny and Valerie to distract Danny was really smart, and even HE seems to notice that Sam likes Danny! lol

The humor in this episode was wonderful, and that further contributed to what a great episode this was. Again, the “clueless” gag was hilarious, and Jack and Danny’s “father-son chat” was fabulously funny. It was out there, but totally IC. And Sam’s name being engraved on the ring added to the humor, and Sam saying “Who the heck is Wes?” was the icing on the cake. Yet another person knows Sam likes Danny. Tucker had great laughs where he came up as well.

Perhaps what really made this episode great was the action. We’ve seen great stuff this season, but this was just…holy cow. The battle with Danny, Valerie, and Technus right after the mid-commercial was very long and very cool. The sky was a mix of green, and that seemed just right. And Danny’s last shots at the suit made it just…wow. Freaky with all three shots, and the one in the middle was…insane.

The final battle in space…two words. Breath-taking. Oh, and I loved Danny’s shout of, “I’m an astronaut!” Danny and Valerie were moving around in a very fluid motion, and the stars were perfect to go with it. Also, I really liked when Danny blasted Valerie backward, and then got that really intense look in his eyes. And it was really good thinking to send the jetpack into the satellite, and to ride back invisible on Valerie’s jetsled.

The last scene was very emotional and heart-warming. For a wild moment, I seriously thought that Danny and Valerie would hook up. But this is better, IMO. I found it very mature of Valerie to “break up” with him to protect him from danger. Reminds me of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The kiss on the cheek was nice as well. And Danny looking sorrow after that was very touching, along with Valerie. I really felt sorry for both of them, Danny moreso, even though this is what I prefer. And I really liked how Sam comforted him like she did. And now she has the ring! I smell future storyline! Other future plots open up as well. Vlad is in charge of Axion Labs? Oh boy.

This wasn’t a perfect episode. But very very little was wrong with it, and I actually can’t think of any at the moment. Maybe just that I’m more of a D/S fan, and I would’ve liked a bit more of that. Also, whatever happened to Paulina? Could Danny possibly be over her? We’ll wait and see.

This episode took a LOT of thinking before I could give it a rating. I thought of 9.8/10 last night, and then 10.3/10 earlier today, but now I’ve decided.

10.6/10! Third best ever! Boy, I've had a lot to talk about this one!

Way to go, Butch. Way to start off a brand new year.
  • My favorite episode, next to Ultimate Enemy.

This episode is awesome, another great installment to the Danny Phantom series. Lots of fights, revenge, and romance. Just the right mix makes a good episode, and THIS is a good episode. Technus is finally gone, he was funny, but quite annoying. His third person talk annoyed me as much as Danny. Anyway, Valerie is back to Ghost hunting, with an even deadlier suit. Which I think looks much better than the original. Danny is back to normal(now that Valerie is just a friend), and last but not least, Sam is back in place of Valerie.
  • I was very sad in this.

    8.3
    "Great"
This is a sad episode. It's good, yes, but very sad. Danny was very sad at the end, and it was a little corney as well, what with the whole ring thing and all. i think Danny and Valerie make a good couple and all, but Sam and Danny is a better couple, as im sure everyone agrees with that. if not, whats wrong with you? anyways, what could else be said about this episode, huh? technes is still an annoying ghost, and my least favorite bad guy, or does Vlad fit that? I hate them both. what do you think?
  • That would never happen!

    10
    "Perfect"
That would never happen! Danny and Valerie? First she hates him then the creators make her want to go out with him?! It was good but weird how the two feel for each other. A montage interesting. Nicoli Technus is using Danny’s emotions against him. At first Danny does not believe Sam and Tucker. Then he realizes they are correct. Technus is making a suit that looks likes Valerie in her ghost hunting suit. Danny realizes it is not Valerie but Technus so he shoots at him. Valerie goes he thought it was me he wanted to waste me! (Not at all Valerie.) every one else thinks Danny Fenton likes Sam Manson not Valerie.
  • GOOD GOD!!! Danny and Valerie together!?! Has everyone in this world lost their minds!!?? This episode made me physically sick!!!!

    6.3
    "Fair"
Danny Fenton and Valerie Grey bf/gf...Saying that STILL and always will leave a terrible taste in my mouth. I had prayed to God that Butch Hartman was not that stupid, but it would appear that I was wrong. I am one of many that believe that Danny's love-life leads toward Sam and Sam alone. I mean, Jack had had 'Sam' engraved on the class ring, for Pete's sake!!!

What bigger clue do those people need!!!??!!!

*with extreme sarcasm* Oh sure, Danny getting together with the girl who's always trying to off him is a great frickin' idea!!!!!!!!! I am so mad over this I think I'm gonna scream!!! (But to be fair, the action in the episode was pretty good, no denying.)
  • This was so not anywhere close to the best episode.

    8.3
    "Great"
I didn't really like this episode very much, I suppose that is because I do not believe that Danny and valerie should be together I think that danny and Sam are the ones that belong together.

The only good part to this episode was the fact that danny was so clueless to what was going on around him, that was probably the only funny thing that occured in this episode.

Sam pretty much admits that she likes danny which was also okay but I still think this episode could have been way better.

I just hope Valerie does not change her mind about going out with him, because sooner or later she will find out he is Danny Phantom.
  • Something just didn't seem right. Okay, Technus returns and downloads himself into the Axion Lab's mega-computer to commandeer a satellite, but he needs time to get through the firewall. So to buy time and keep Danny off his tail, he uses a few tech-trick

    4.1
    "Poor"
Something didn't feel right. YTV just showed this episode this previous Monday here in Canada, and since then I've watched it like five times trying to figure out what was wrong with it. I was looking forward to this episode and found myself sorely disappointed for still mostly unfathomable reasons.

One of the things that really got to me was the anger in this episode. And don't give me that look! I'm not a crybaby who squirms when someone throws a punch or pulls a gun, but this seemed really maddening for some reason. Valerie is once again rushing in to pummel Phantom without giving him a chance. I just felt that this plot did nothing but raise some hopes for D/V shippers and then rip their hearts out when Valerie upgrades and declares all-out war on her ghostly adversary.

Technus was rather well-done, surprisingly, even though there were times when he was still too cliche, as usual. Such as the hydra in Japan (What were Casper High students doing in the Orient?) or the weird Technus-pop-up thing in the United Kingdom. He actually gave off a 'Brainiac' impression (see Superman:TAS) with the wires coming out of his eyes and the hyper-extended arms into the Axion Labs mainframe.

And Sam annoyed me, too (still for an unknown reason); she went from being almost enraged to Danny and Val hanging out to rather indifferent as he was planning on asking her to go steady. That doesn't make much sense, does it?

Overall, this episode left me with a dark churning in my gut, and I still DON'T KNOW WHY! (I'm serious about the churning, though.) I gathered from my different sources that this would be a good, meaningful episode and its twin, Micro-Management (yet to air in Canada) would be the one that would go unnoticed and possibly loathed, but right now I'm praying that it's the other way around because I can't imagine two animated flops in a row.

danny can\\\'t even understand that technus knows sam loves him. i mean come on! technus? that\\\'s just wrong! apparently everyone in casper high and parts of the ghost zone know sam is in love with danny! this goes along with a revised quote from zoey 101: everyone in the universe knows sam loves danny! people on uranus are asking,\\\"did you know sam loves danny?\\\"\\\"yes i did know that.\\\"according to my theory, sam and danny met seven cartoon years ago. sam turned goth the night after. danny didn\\\'t recognize her or her name. sam only told him her first name when they met. and seven years is a long time. if danny still hasn\\\'t figured it out, he must be the most clueless person in all of infinity!

  • Yuck! I hate that Valerie and Danny were almost together.

As a major danny/sam shipper seeing this episode made me want to rip my hair out and smash the television. The fact that Valerie suddenly became an important part of the series and almost went out with the main character just annoys me. She's very boring, all she is, is an obnoxious angry girl that doesn't really need to be an important part of the series. (And I find her voice annoying for some reason)

I guess there are (obviously) some people who were glad this almost-relationship took place, but it was ended in this episode. And I doubt we'll ever hear about it again. However, the whole danny/sam thing seems to be happening in the upcoming episode "Double-cross my heart" coming in May. I'm extremely excited for this. Maybe it'll take everyones mind off of the romance in this episode.

So, basically I think this episode was pretty dumb.

Never could Danny and Valerie be together. NEVER!

Sam as you can see likes danny. And Valerie wants to destrot danny phantom. if they dated it would be weird. because when ever there would be a ghost they both would have to be excused and then danny phantom would try and catch the ghost while valerie tryed to catch him. that would be weird.
  • Technus is back. And he’s playing matchmaker? Now poor Danny has to deal with him AND his new found feelings for Valerie. Can Danny handle both problems at the same time or will the ghost and the ghost hunter break each other’s heart?

What can I say? I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this episode. Being the headstrong D/S shipper I am I was a bit uncertain at watching this one but in the end am glad I did. The DP crew somehow managed to stuff so many concepts into such a small amount of time; I must give them kudos for that alone.

By far, my favorite thing about the episode was how all the characters were portrayed. We get to see a different Valerie than the usual butt-kicking-don’t-mess-with-me ghost hunter we’re used to, and I was glad for it. We see she really does have a sweet side (especially when she hugged Sam--signifying she would be willing to get along with Danny’s friends for his sake), yet they were careful not to give up her bravery or strength which was good. The one thing I hate about some cartoons is how the writers seem to forget that people have more than one dimension. Thankfully this has never seemed to be a probably with DP.

I really liked how Sam came out this time as well. Her jealousy was there but it wasn’t overdone like it was in LiL, IMO. It’s also made clear Danny’s not the only one with an overprotective nature. Her line: “I never get past the waste Danny Phantom part!” proves it. She’s not letting her emotions run away with her; she’s worried for her best friend’s safety. She just doesn’t want him hurt (physically or otherwise). And she was willing to give Valerie a chance, if it would make Danny happy. Who could honestly ask for a better best friend?

Danny’s clueless-ness was right in play; coming off as both adorable and annoying (the “Clueless” line has got to be one of the cutest running gags of the series). Apparently, even Sam has come to grips with feelings for Danny; considering how well she undertook Tucker’s…ahem, “help”. She must be even more obvious than we thought if Technus came figure it out. The only one who doesn’t seem to know is, well…Danny (isn’t that how it always is?). But Danny just wouldn’t be Danny if he didn’t have the sense of naïveté about him.

And poor Tuck’s stuck in the middle just dealing with it all.

And the “totally awkward father-son-chat”? Oh, man, did I love that! By far my all-time favorite Jack moment (even beating when he whooped Vlad in MDG). It reminded me how much I love the big guy. From the beginning: “Yep. I'm gonna give you some fatherly advice. Then, I'm gonna say something that makes you cringe and run out of the room in embarrassment!” to the random: “It’s time for pie.” Oh, I just loved every moment. Totally wonderful and IC. The part about the ring was great. It showed that Jack was trying to help and be supportive of his son (in his own way). The engraving was another nice touch.

Jack’s own “Clueless” line had me laughing my head off. A goofball he may be, but Jack’s not completely without a clue (or at least, he’s in better shape than his son is).

Sam reading the ring upside down was hilarious. It really worked for the scene.

All in all, a really nice episode. I‘m really wanting to see how this is all worked out.

    This epiosode was absolutely amazing!!!!

I thought that it was kinda funny how Valerie broke up with Danny to protect him from the ghosts she fights after seeing him being attacked when the one ghost she's going to be fighting is actually him!

But it was sad too because Danny was all really sad because he really really liked her

I\'m not going to disguise the fact that I much prefer the Danny/Sam relationship on this show to Danny/Valerie. It\'s quite obvious that Danny will get together with Sam, as testified by the exasperated, \"I always *knew* you two (insert adjective) would get together!\" he and Sam are always receiving from both humans _and_ ghosts. :) However, it was inevitable that the writers would bring D. and V. together, at least for a short time, and I\'m pleased to say that it was nicely handeled and didn\'t affect my enjoyment of this episode at all.

The plot was a bit strange and eyebrow raising, but then again, so is Technus (and we wouldn\'t have him any other way :). I *really* like Valerie\'s new suit, and the battle between her and Danny out in space was full of awesome. I was surprised to see the new suit, actually, since the last time Valerie was working the badass mode was far in the future and the suit then didn\'t look nearly as advanced then as this suit now. So much for the future. The witty banter is still alive and kicking (\"You upgraded to a mullet?\"
  • Valerie and Danny together!?!

It surprised me that Danny and Valerie had a serious relationship. In this episode they truly care about each other. Danny even attempted to ask Valerie to go steady with him. It touched me when Valerie refused his offer because she didn't want ghosts to go after him because of her. That is true proof that Danny and Valerie care for one another. The episode was also funny when Jack was having the talk with Danny. And the entire thing with the ring being engraved sam was telling the audience that the Valerie/Danny relationship was not going to last. It was stupid of Danny to ask Sam to hold on to the ring, but funny when she read it upside down and blurted out "Who the heck is Wes?" Overall, this episode was a major development in Danny's private life and I have no doubt that Danny and Sam are going to end up together in the end.
