Danny Phantom

Ben Balistreri created the character design for Danielle/Dani Phantom.

Dani is Danny's female clone, but she's twelve while Danny is fourteen. This probably means that the cloning process was probably calculating on Danny's mature level. Since girls mature faster then boys, that would explain why Danny has a twelve year old female clone instead of a fourteen year old.

Apparently, even though Dani is Danny's clone, they consider each other cousins.

Apparently, there are living jackalope in the Danny Phantom universe.

The music that played during this episode's title screen is the same rare music that first played in "Mystery Meat", then in "Teacher Of The Year", "Life Lessons", finally "Pirate Radio".

The name of this episode comes for the fact that Dani is related to Danny (hence te word "kindred" which means relation or kindling), and spirit for the fact that Dani is a half-ghost like Danny.

Title Picture: Danny is melting into goo while the tiny clone is swirling around him, and the other two imperfect clones, with Dani Phantom are in the shadows.

Dani Phantom is the second alternate version of Danny that came into existance because of him getting ghost powers. The first was Dark Danny in "The Ultimate Enemy."

Despite Nick's shuffling the order of the last three episodes, this episode is the Season 2 finale chronologically.

This marks the second time that one of Vlad's minions led Danny straight to him, the first being the vultures in "Bitter Reunions."

Apparently, Danielle can't trigger Danny's ghost sense. Possibly because like Vlad, she's only half ghost.

Danny reveals that the FentonWorks Op-Center has a guest bedroom.

Opener: Vlad is monitoring images of Danny with a computerized version of Maddie, then sends three ghosts (imperfect clones of Danny) to go after him. After this, Vlad entertains himself with the computerized Maddie insulting Jack and starts laughing sinisterly.

This is the second time the band "Dumpty Humpty" is mentioned. It was first mentioned in the episode "Shades of Gray."

It is now apparent Vlad is unable to use the Ghostly Wail.

At the end of this episode, it is hinted that we can expect a new vehicle to be built by Jack because Tucker and Sam destroyed the Specter Speeder when they saved Danny.

Tucker reveals that Vlad's cabin in Colorado is near the Wyoming/Colorado border.

Apparently, Dash doesn't like apple juice.

Danny's eyes are a lighter shade of blue in this episode.

Although Danielle is supposed to have all the powers of Danny, she does not have the ghostly wail. Danny never used the ghostly wail around Valerie, which means her suit did not obtain the ghostly wail's data.

Look Hard: On Danny's bedroom wall, you can see a certificate of completion for a Junior Astronaut course.

At the end of this episode, we see Dani, now no longer being controlled by Vlad, flying into the sunset laughing. It's hinted here that Dani may make another apperance in the future.

For some strange reason, Butch Hartman used a different sound for the ghostly wail in this episode. Also, the ghostly wail cone was made different.

If you don't count Danny appearing in Vlad's files, this is the fourth episode where Danny doesn't appear in before the theme song.

Danielle is the fourth ghost that befreinds Danny, and is the first ghost he considers a relative.

Skulker's spectral energy neutralizer from "Bitter Reunions" returns.

Dani can retain the voice of whoever she overshadows, but not the eye color.

After being hinted in "Shades of Gray", it is revealed that Danny does like Dumpty Humpty since he has at least 3 of their CDs.

The Box Ghost is mentioned in this episode, but not seen.

Pariah Dark from "Reign Storm" is mentioned at the very beginning when Danny lies about being late.

The Lunch Lady (In meat form), Skulker, and the Ghost Dog from "Shades of Gray." all appear in flashbacks.

The Fentons have a pool. It is seen when the Specter Speeder was taking off from the yard.

The bumper sticker on the Specter Speeder reads, "My child is an honor student at Casper High". It obviously refers to Jazz.

Vlad uses an ectoplasmic dome for the first time.

Instead of getting a cat as Danny sugested on "Maternal Instincts", Vlad got a Maddie program (hologram) and a Jack program (hologram). Also the Maddie program says she never loved Vlad but, the Jack program instead.

Dani seems to have the same powers as Danny, excluding the Ghostly Wail.

Dani/Danielle and Danny both have the same emblem, but Dani's emblem is not as bright as Danny's.

Danny doesn't catch a ghost with the Fenton Thermos in this episode.

We now know that Vlad had given Valerie her ghost hunting suit, and all of the weapons for the purpose of getting the data he needed to make the clone of Danny. Which means he must have had the idea of making a clone of Danny since "Shades of Gray" or sooner.

Danielle appears to 12, but is in fact is much younger, not more than a year old.

Apparantly Sam thinks that the Boo-merang is a stupid name.

The Specter Speeder from "Prisoners of Love", the Specter Deflecter from "Maternal Instinct" and the Boo-merang from "The Ultimate Enemy" all return. The Specter Speeder is destroyed, but at the end Jack seems to plan on making a newer and better one.

The three ghosts Vlad sent consisted of: 1) A skeleton wearing a bedsheet. It can fly and posesses some strength, but not much else. 2) A large muscular ghost that has incredible strength and can also fly. 3) A tiny ghost like insect which is really a miniture version of Danny. It can fly incredibly fast and glows green.

It is revealed that Vlad got rich not by plotting a business but by robbing banks and overshadowing business men forcing them to sell to him.

Danny's ectoplasmic blasts have grown even stronger since he can now destroy a small area with one blast.

Skulker is seen in a flashback, but in his original form, not the upgraded form from "Micro-Management."

It is revealed that the Ghost Dog from "Shades of Gray" did not disappear for good.

New Halfa: Danielle/Danni Fenton/Phantom

We learn that Vlad does not view himself as a villain, but as a man who seeks the love that he lost twenty years ago.

Marks the second apperance of the Boooo-Merang.

Marks the second apperance of Vlad's Mansion in the Colorado Rockies, the first appearence being "Maternal Instinct".

Dani can't use ghost powers that consume her energy because then she starts to melt.

Danielle isn't Danny's direct cousin, she claimed to be his third cousin once removed.

If Vlad can recover that quickly while Danny remains powerless after using the Ghostly Wail, then it may not be wise for Danny to use it against Vlad again.

This episode marks the fourth time in the series Danny uses his ghostly wail, but used for a longer period of time than he ever did before. This episode also marks the first time Vlad has both seen and been a victim of the Ghostly Wail.

Dani's Appearance: Human Form: She wears a blue sweater with red shorts. Her shoes resemble Danny's, only with blue and white dots on the side. She wears a red beanie, and puts her hair into a ponytail, which also resembles Danny's hairstyle. Her eyes and hair are the same colors as Danny Fenton's. Ghost Form: Her hair, still in a ponytail, and eyes are the same color as Danny Phantom's. Her emblem is the same, but darker, and her right hand's glove is black and her arm is white, the rest of her torso is the same as Danny's. Instead of a belt, she has a cut that shows her waist. Her pants have white streaks on the sides and instead of boots, she has shoes.

Running Gags: 1) Dani melting into goo 2) Danny messing something up or avoiding trouble and Sam and Tucker getting in trouble for it 3) Someone calling Mr.Lancer "old man" 4) Someone telling Sam and Tucker, "You kids are in a world of trouble!"

Main Ghost Bio: Danielle "Dani" Phantom- A female version of Danny Phantom. Danielle is a twelve-year old clone created by Vlad as one of many creations for a clone of Danny. She claims to be his third cousin once removed. She was first obedient to Vlad, her "father", but after seeing he lied about saving her and is only interested in the primary clone, she sides with Danny. She has all of Danny's powers and Danny's interests.

Look Hard: On Danny's Wall, you see a poster saying "Explorer Hartman"

This episode is set after the TV movie "Reality Trip" and "Double Cross My Heart." It was in fact the Season 2 finale, but for reasons unknown, Nick chose to air these episodes out of proper order.
