The episode begins with Tucker running for class president. Danny and Sam are helping with his campaign, but no one is paying any attention. They try to boost Tucker's popularity by changing some of the campaign's details, but when they present some of their new ideas, this only frustrates Tucker even more because then the campaign is using Danny's and Sam's voices instead of Tucker's. He then tells them to go off and rewrite the campaign. (Except for the "mini-skirt Friday" part, which Tucker liked.) While this is happening, of course, Dash is running his own campaign, which he simplifies for the student body: vote for Dash, or they'll get beaten up by the football team. This plan works as expected, and Tucker's hope is only diminished even more.
Right afterwards, a large, one-eyed, green iguana-looking mutant ghost is on the attack, but Danny is too busy re-writing Tucker's campaign to see it. Tucker tries to warn Danny and Sam, but Danny ignores him. Danny's ghost sense goes off and he tries to go ghost behind a tree, but the ghost attacks the tree with its tail which sends Danny flying. Tucker and Sam run for cover behind the tree with Danny, and the ghost leaves. Sam comments that she never saw that attack coming. Tucker says that he happened to see it and Danny asks why he didn't tell him, when in reality Tucker had yelled to Danny for help.
The next scene shows the on a field trip to the museum. Mr. Lancer explains the myth of the ancient pharaoh, and that when the pharaoh looks in the ancient mirror that lies by his coffin, his servant, Hotep Ra, will rise again. Tucker, who is trying to gain some attention, makes a joke about the pharaoh's name, and no one laughs. Dash makes the same exact joke, but when he pounds his fist against his palm, (referring to his threatening campaign) the whole laughs. Tucker is discouraged, and his attitude only worsens when he says something to Danny and Sam and they don't listen. However, it's because they're looking at a picture of the ancient pharaoh, who looks just like Tucker.
As the leaves the museum, Kwan tricks Tucker into looking in the mirror. When he does so, Hotep Ra arises from his coffin. Danny, naturally assuming that he's an enemy, goes ghost and attacks. While they're fighting, Tucker steps in and commands that Hotep Ra stops hurting Danny. Upon seeing Tucker, Hotep Ra bows down on his knees and proclaims that he there to serve Tucker as his minion. Danny ignores this and blasts Hotep Ra, and Tucker is unhappy with this. Danny says that it's for his own good, and they exit the museum.
At school the next day, Danny and Sam have put up some new posters for Tucker's campaign, which read, "You Can't Spell Foley Without "F"!" and they show Tucker holding a report card with a bright red "F" on it. Tucker complains that they're changing his campaign again, and Sam replies that this is the best way to relate to the average, idiot student. However, Tucker convinces them to take down all of the posters. Hotep Ra then appears with his backpack, and agrees as Tucker tells him how no one ever listens to him. Hotep Ra responds and says that he will always be loyal. Hotep Ra then proceeds to tell him that Casper High shall be his domain. Tucker sees this as a good plan, and allows his minion to fly him to the school. The scene closes with Danny and Sam finishing collecting the campaign posters, turning around to speak with Tucker, and realizing that he isn't there. We see him and Hotep Ra flying overhead towards the school.
We then see Tucker opening his locker, and Hotep Ra's head is visible. He hands Tucker the pharaoh's scepter, and it overshadows him, making him think like the ancient pharaoh. He brings it with him to the election debate, where as usual, no one is paying attention to him. He then slaps the scepter on the podium and yells, "Silence!" This causes everyone to look up, and Danny goes ghost to stop Tucker. Tucker says that he can handle it, but when Danny protests and reaches for the scepter, Tucker tells him that once again, he isn't listening to anything he says. Using the power of the scepter, he sends Danny to ancient Egypt, and soon after, the rest of the arrives there as well.
In ancient Egypt, the entire is wearing the old attire, and Tucker is dressed as pharaoh. When Sam protests and Tucker still won't step down, (he calls her Samantha, and when she gets ticked off, he releases his guards) everyone fears for the worst as they are sentenced to work on the sphinx in his honor. Meanwhile, Tucker is adding new laws, which include "everyone must eat meat" and "mini-skirt Friday". As a creature that looks like Anubis writes down the new laws, Star and Paulina scrub Tucker's feet. After the latest laws are written, Tucker leaves, and Anubis asks whether or not he should validate the new laws. Hotep Ra tells him to do so, and that he will let Tucker enjoy the power while it lasts. While all of this is going on, we revisit Danny's chariot race. His ghostly opponent tries to screw up one of Danny's wheels, but luckily Danny breaks free, (his hands were tied together) and he leaps on the ghost's back. We see them heading for a wall, and the scene changes.
We then see what is going on outside, where everyone is building the sphinx. Dash and Kwan comment that they're doomed ("A nerd is ruling us, and we're not even 30 yet!") but Sam tells them that they just have to convince Tucker to come to his senses. As she says that, a carriage arrives, and out step Hotep Ra, Anubis, and then Tucker. Hotep Ra reveals the opponent that Danny was fighting previously, and that he was the winner of the chariot race, which was held in Tucker's honor. He also mentions that he defeated his ghostly opponent, which causes Sam to panic. It is soon revealed that Danny is in his opponent's suit, and he steals Tucker's scepter. This causes Tucker to return to normal (he's no longer controlled by the pharaoh's spirit), and now Hotep Ra is out to get the scepter from Danny. Hotep Ra then gains possession of the scepter, and he releases various ancient monsters, as well as making the sphinx come to life. Its eyes glow red, and it then goes off to attack Danny. Danny uses his ghostly wail, but it is useless, proving how strong the sphinx really is. When all hope is seemingly lost, Danny tells Tucker to command the sphinx. He replies that he doesn't have the scepter, but Danny convinces him to try anyway. He goes up to the sphinx and tells it to play dead, roll over, etc. and he is successful. Despite Hotep Ra's attempts, Tucker sends the sphinx after him, which causes destruction around the city. (Danny comments, "So that's why they call it ruins.") Tucker then uses the scepter and wishes that they were back at the debate, and that only him, Danny, and Sam had any memory of the recent event in the ancient Egypt.
When they return, Lancer calls Danny and Sam offstage, telling them that it isn't a group debate. They wish Tucker good luck, although he winds up saying that he has had enough of power, and withdraws from the debate. Dash wins by default, and proclaims that his first move as class president will be making "nerd-whailing Friday". Danny and Sam apologize for listening to Tucker, and he forgives them. He them goes off an a ramble about what he would've done as class president, including "mini-skirt Friday" and all of his technology, but Danny and Sam leave him to return the scepter to the museum, ignoring Tucker. He then adds, "They're hand-made in Japan!" and Star and Paulina mistake his words for 'hand-maiden'. For some unknown reason, Paulina comments that she knows what his feet smell like (she admits that she can't recall how she knows this), and Tucker says, "I asked for a full memory-wipe! Why won't anyone listen to me?" The final scene ends with Star and Paulina chasing Tucker off-screen.
